Everyone just Breathe

Connor and Sheif have been good but they are not taking things to the next level, just like the rest of the team. We need another gear and zero of our players have shown that in the last 2 games.
KFC had some pretty good defensive sticks and Scheifele’s getting man handled.
Those 2 are not the main concern.
We have a bunch of non productive forwards and we are getting little depth scoring
Tanev, Nino, Appleton do something….anything please.
Lowry isn’t exempt either.
Schenn and Tanev bring nothing we didn’t have before.
Hopefully Vilardi brings a spark back to this roster.

listening to overdrive today and they pretty much said it's easy to shut down scheifele/connor because blues know those are the only two that can score

Don't know about breathing, but I made a boss ass beef stew for the first time ever. I was following a recipe and was looking at things like allspice and thyme and basil and parsley flakes and etc etc. Then I went further down the spice aisle and saw some packets of spice for beef stew, so I just got those instead. f*** being bougie.

Yeah with Lardo back maybe things will get a spark, we have the Lowry line back to normal, AI can hopefully give Fetts some relief from playing with the two anchors in Vlad and Nino and with any luck JAD and Barron keep playing the way they are and do some damage again at home (assuming they don't remove JAD)

Personally I just want them all to show me they want it, go out there and show us some grit and play like you want to win, if they do that then win or lose I will be content, if they give up again like the last two games well suffice to say I will be big mad.

I think Barnaby had to change his /her handle when the site broke. Or ya they were all three of the same people.
His. Dale53130 -> Barnaby Jones - > Frank Cannon. (I like 70s crime dramas and I was bored with 'Dale53130')

I just stopped posting, starting with my Crosby hunch never came to fruition ( :o ), there's nothing to complain about because the Jets were doing well in the regular season, and most importantly I'm busy with work and by nature, I'm a procrastinator who needs to get more work done.

The skies not falling, the Jets (I thought) played well through the better part of 2 periods. They didn't address their two biggest weaknesses so I don't expect them to go far (I hope I'm wrong), but they can still beat St. Louis in a best of 3.

Whatever happened to the guy that uncovered that whole thing. Barnaby Jones? Did a search on that name and nothing came up.

Maybe the 3 of them were the same person? Maybe we're all the same person??

I barely interacted with either profile because I was inactive at the time, but man after reading all of that, I hope you all went outside and, as Gen Z would put it, touched grass.

Inanna read like someone in a basement living out a fantasy of what they think a woman literature grad in her late 20s is, complete with the creepy-flirty older male gaze courtesy of Stumbledore.

I, for one, miss your posts @Dale53130

Always well researched and logically presented

(If, in fact, that's your real name)

lol, I am very much a real person.

Truth be told I have followed HFboards for almost a decade now, but never wanted to post as I can get just as frustrated as the next person and didn't want to dive into the world of back and forths.

There are many posters I really enjoy following/reading, and appreciate the effort and the passion (for the most past) of our fan base.

Awesome. I am also a bot that tells people that I am a real person. Welcome to the club and Go Jets Go!!

Why are you all posting about how cooked we are when you should be out there getting your easy money fading a team that's "somehow"(?!) still the statistical and betting-odds favourite to win the series?

2/3 home games is massive. Besides home ice in general being about 5% extra (as best I recall), of the way we're losing the series, one of them (our bottom pair getting pressed) is a lot harder to have happen to you at home. The other way will happen when the horseshoes fall out of the asses of the St. Louis blues shooters. Shots are going in off of Neil Pionk's ass -- while a true paragon of the chaos that the Pionky Tonk Man brings to the ice, I mean, come on now. Scrambles on PKs that end on penalties that have no business being called?

We played a far better game in game four, and carried the play for the majority of it. Shit happens. And as commentators might say, "shit happens in bunches".

Right now, the whole "we can't win in St. Louis" thing shouldn't be ahead of St. Louis being unable to win in Winnipeg. 2-0 to start the series there? Drubbed them what, 5-0 to end their streak before that?

Better team in a best 2-of-3 where home ice has been huge and we have home ice advantage.

I mean, you all want off the bandwagon, that's fine. And while I understand that quoting this line might be ironic given how the movie ended, it's really too perfect:

Evacuate? In our moment of triumph? I think you over-estimate their chances!

Let's at least wait until we are losers this year before we call ourselves losers this year.

And until then? Deep breath. The Universe is unfolding exactly as it means to.
Can I double like this?

Trade helly while he has some value if we don't make it out the first... this guy is fools gold
If Helly can bring it on for the next home games, and I expect he will giv’er, then emphatically, no, nyet, nay, non, n’dit, chan eil (last one is for the Cameron lads and lasses)

If he doesn’t/cannot, then possibly there is merit it keeping that idea on the back-burner. It would allow us to outright shop two really good playoff goalies. If Brossoit could be poached, or Thompson I would pull the ejection handle.
But I think he really feels he wants a Cup, along with the guys (and the rest of us and all of Winnipeg) So I’m for him keeping his stick on the ice (“and remember..I’m pulling for ya’..and if your wife can’t find you handsome, at least she can find you handy..”
Giv’er Helly and all the Jets!

We are missing 51 goals from our lineup. We only have had 3 top 6 players in the lineup our first 4 games.

Getting Vilardi back is huge and gives us 4 top 6 players and also gives us the means to spread our top 6 talent out a bit more.

I'd like to see him with Perfetti as we need a triggerman on that line.
I’m on my knees 🙏 praying for St. Villardi to pot a couple, or at least team up with Perf’ the Smurf go get the job done.
That should ignite all four lines.
Go Jets!

Reactions: Jets 31 and Buffdog
Sometimes a history of being chokers matters. Like now. Seems like a mirror image of what happened the last two playoff years. I can’t figure out why you can’t see the obvious.

I want to be wrong, but have serious doubts that I will be. They are showing the exact same folding style like they have the past 2 years. All the pep talks are not going to change anything. Until the Jet’s finally man up and demonstrate that they can handle adversity. Hopefully they show us something on Wednesday, but until then, I’m from Missouri on that.

If you are still hold psychiatric boards, I’d like to book a few therapy sessions!

It’s not that they’ve lost 2 in a row that has drawn ire from fans with pitchforks out . It’s HOW THEY LOST 2 in a row.

After winning game 1, Colorado lost 2 overtime games, but those were games they could have won because they remained in the battle. Why do the Jets collapse so easily? That’s what is driving the diehard fans over the cliff. Enough is enough already.
