I have read so many pages of comments over the last few days that have pretty much sealed the Jets fate; to the point that I have never seen a fanbase of a team that is either up 2-1 or tied 2-2 in a series, in which they have home ice advantage, write their team off as confidently as Winnipeg fans have.

I fully recognize that these last 2 games have yielded terrible results, and that the momentum has shifted significantly over to the Blues, but even with that said the Jets still have a really good chance (the favourites) to come out of this series on top.

As much as everyone can point to how terrible we’ve been on the road in Games 3 & 4, I don’t see how these same people can say with such confidence that it’s a forgone conclusion that St Louis will come into Winnipeg and win?!

St Louis had 2 (maybe you can give them a third) solid periods in Winnipeg; both first periods. That’s it! Yes, the final scores have been closer in games 1 & 2 then they have been in 3 & 4, but if you actually breakdown the stats, Winnipeg has dominated the second half of both of those games. When it was time to close each one out, the Blues had a total of 7 shots in both 3rd periods combined.

This series has clearly favoured the home teams, and we have 2 out of 3 in Winnipeg!

I am not looking to convince anyone that it’s anywhere close to a lock that we’re going to win, but the negativity and utter certainty that we have already “lost” this series is just as crazy.

Can we still lose, sure. Can we still win, absolutely; but this board has rode with the Jets all season long. Through the doubts at the start of the year that we’re even a playoff team, to the surprise to almost all that we finished with the best record in the NHL, and everything in between.

Most of us have cheered and believed in this team, through so much worst then a 2-2 series in which we still have the home ice advantage.

I strongly encourage everyone to take a breath…. this series is far from over!

Man, it's the fashion in which we lost that seems all too familiar.

Even the first win at home was very similar fashion, yet the team picked it up in the third period and we got some timely saves.

The way it's going for St Louis it feels like this is unstoppable, and the Jets are skating up hill with rusty blades or something.

The feeling here, basically not being in either of game 3 or 4 at all (outside of our first period game 4) leads one to think that we had to grind to squeeze two wins and the wins the Blues have seems to be a walk in the park.

That "Favourites" to win the series, isn't true. Just look at Binningtons stats vs Helle stats. We could play a 77 game series and prob never win another game with Helle playing like this.

Facts don't have feelings... jets lack the edge in almost every metric... our greatest strength defense and goal tending has become are biggest liability yet again... helly or whoever is gonna have steal us one or 2 if we stand any chance... st louis was possibly the worst team to run into in the first round and they showing us why... we don't look like contenders at all in this series... we look like we curled up in the corner hoping the beating will stop..

Agreed. If we lost Games 3-4 in close fashion with effort and within a goal or two or OT, then I don’t think everyone would be panicking nearly as much.

It’s because they’re losing so handedly just like they did past years against Knights and Avs.

Trade helly while he has some value if we don't make it out the first... this guy is fools gold
Statistically Helleybuyck has been worse in the past few the playoffs than Stuart Skinner. Results aren’t any different except Skinner made it to the Stanley Cup Final.

Let that sink in.

As others have said, it’s how we’re losing. Just like the series against Vegas and Colorado.

The Blues have played 4 good games, the Jets have played 2, and we were smoked in the other 2.

We may yet win the series but I don’t think anyone feels good about our chances of getting much farther. Can you blame them?

Is it fair to say.
Helle carries this team on his back year in and year out regular season? Maybe post season the team needs to return the favour?
OR does Chevy need to figure out how to build a post season roster?
There’s an element missing that has not been addressed yet.
Helle, Chef, KFC, Jomo, Samberg and Pionk are an amazing bunch of talented individuals to build around.
How about a #2 center and and character player
Don’t come at me, THAT IS CHEVYS problem.
If people don’t want to play here then TNSE should have declined the opportunity for a franchise.
They knew it was a possibility.
Also don’t sign RFA’s to extensions simply because they say they like Winnipeg.
The organization is successful no doubt, would this be acceptable if we lose out

The blood is sure in the water now. Jets are playing tentative. The Blues are in their heads. There's the idea that they can turn it around, but recent playoff history has proven that when the going gets tough, the Jets have had enough.
The main difference from the last two playoffs is that the Blues are a somewhat weaker opponent compared to 2023 Vegas and 2024 Colorado.

But yeah, no small part of me feels like the Jets in their current state would be in tough to win 2 out of 3 versus the Sharks or Hawks.

Someone pointed out that the Jets haven't won a game in the playoffs after suffering a loss since 2020. I think they need to show some resiliency themselves before they can expect the fans to.
Exactly, why should we believe when they don't give us a single reason to do so, they have done this to us many times over the past years, it's not our first rodeo, as soon as things get tough in the post season they wilt and break under the pressure and never recover.

They can only break your heart so many times before you lose faith completely in them at this time of year, As soon as they went down by two in this last game I saw the life drain from them, all the fight was gone, it was all so familiar.

Why assume?

Maybe because of my experience watching the story play out every Jets season, and personally watching every single playoff game in Jets 1.0 and 2.0 history since 1982.
This team has nothing to do with 1.0. What bearing do those outcomes have on what happens today? Our players weren't even born then

Your opinion says more about you as a person than about the Jets as a team
