GDT: Everybody Wants to be Up, It's All Uphill from Here: Your New Jersey Devils @ Pittsburgh Penguins, 3 PM, ABC/ESPN+

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I mean, plenty bad all around. Nemec Meier, backcheckers, luke/Tatar disconnect, Mercer..
Pesce, backcheckers, Markstrom...yuck
Good period up to that point
I’d throw Timo in there, he could have been more aggressive to help get the puck cleared.. make a better play and that first goal doesn’t happen

This is one of those shits again. Devils safely in control of the momentum and they give up 2 quick ones. I'm less upset about the Nemec failed clear than that 2nd goal.

luke failed the entry, Mercer failed the point cover puck collection, marky waay overplayed that slide and again, slid out the way of the net.

Not sure how Pesce played that 2v1 will need to see replay.

Not a very good period even outside the goals. Not great from Markstrom either. Need a better 2nd.
#FreeAllen

It took Sheldon a long time to free Woll last year though. He let Samsonov tank the Leafs enough in that series before he went to Woll that when Woll got injured before the last game it was all over.

Bleed has gone mad!
Honestly, that was a joke in regards to Hynes (doing the RIGHT thing by the way!) benching the fresh off injury Cory (Markstrom since returning is starting to rival 2018 Cory after returning from injury) for Kinkaid and pretty much permanently with about 10 or 12 games to go, or at least until we clinched a spot.

Pens have been annoying themselves lately, having won 3 in a row of their own.

Hopefully we can come out and control the play a bit more this period. Felt like we didn’t do nearly enough of that. Pens seem content to try and get traffic for rebounds.

There's like 3 teams in the whole league that are worse than the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Or close enough.
If this place was working you probably would've probably called the Oilers a humpty team/crapped on the Devils after their 2nd goal the other night or would've quoted the Oilers road record since the new year or whatever to complain about the team, as you do every single game here this season.

Whatever, you do you. But man, it's just constant.

One more goal early in that period, bad or not, put Allen in.

We can't afford to let Markstrom ''Find his footing''. It's not December anymore. Markstrom is ice cold.

He had little to do with the win against Columbus and Allen was one of our best players in the other two wins.

I noticed it on the Pens first goal but it's been something bothering me the last few weeks. Our wingers are already racing up the ice before we have solid possession or get the puck past the blue line. Tatar did it there, it looked like he was at the blue line when the Pens scored (not that it would have likely changed much)

I constantly call the Oilers a cup threat.

The only thing humpty about the Oilers is the JOKE goalie they have in nets.

And as big of a joke as he is, he's still not as bad as this choking shit head Jarry in Pittsburgh.

The Pens are one of the WORST teams in the league. If you could only call 5 teams in the league humpty, this would certainly qualify.

PK Devs don't have an 8-point cushion. Jackets play Rags tonight; someone is getting 2 points. Devs need a comeback.
They don't necessarily need a comeback, but they can't afford another spinout down the stretch.

And if there was ever a time to get 4 in a row it's today.

Because if we don't win this team will get 4 in a row. This sorry ass Pens team, who probably already have 4 wins in a row this year.

whats cooler than being cool?.....ice cold!

hey ya

I thought they'd lose on Thursday v EDM. Try to salvage a point here, at the worst, to make it a very good week. Also the Penguins have been playing well, they're on a W3 just like us. Can't just look at records at this point in the year

We have to win this game, to break that monkey

You do know, if Luke wins a cup, jack will win one as well? It's not as if he doesn't meet the requirements to be considered a winner. Jack was instrumental in the teams first half of season.

3pm (Eastern).... Dont miss it

Yeah I know that. You think Jack is going to feel like he won the Cup sitting in the stands watching?
