Not much value given his age (34 years old in a couple of months), salary and of course his reputation and his dumb play in the SCF.
Guys who play his style don’t typically age well. The biggest return would be the cap space created.

Yup. Kane is still good enough that his addition on ice to a club outweighs his negatives off the ice, which are many.
Imo the Oilers could clear all Kane’s contract and even get a mid round pick pick. Likely a third to fifth.

You will be mucho surprised when Ken Holland willingly gives up a (low) draft pick for Kaner without retention. It’s inevitable.
