He's dragging us into the fight. Sadly he doesn't have a 2nd in command like he did last year with Kostin. We badly need an upgrade on Erne.

Nurse is so off right now. He double clutch fists somebody in the face two times last game but doesn't want to dance. He's declined fights this season and brings nothing like Kane does bring on occastion. Apparently Nurse figures he's too pretty to dance now. Might mess up his face..

I miss the former Nurse. he's not in sight. The current version can't even put out on a Halloween costume. Kind of silly but whats with this guy? Seems checked out. Disgruntled?

Is he even a bit miffed Booch is a rockstar on the PP now?

Not to take us off topic... but Kostin has zero points and only 3 SOG in 6 games so far... he's certainly not living up to his contract so far. (though you could say the same for McLeod, who one could argue is who we prioritized instead of Kostin)

He's barely played and when he does its 4th line. Even given that he had 3 assists in preseason and played well. Its numbers game. He'll get his looks and if he keeps with what he brings Detroit will benefit. McLeod of course has played way more minutes and has way more NHL experience. No excuse really for McLeod not figuring it out by now and he's not on a new team in a new city adjusting to EVERYTHING. McLeod has been in the same spot on the same team the whole time.

He’s just not the type of player that Detroit ABSOLUTELY needed. He was however that type of player for us though, WE Do need guys like Kostin more than teams like Detroit do, The guy was a perfect fit on our roster for what we’re lacking(Also conducted himself like an absolute beauty while he was here in addition to playing balls to the wall every game)

Unfortunately he wasn’t going to sign for what he was worth and there is no way they were going to walk from a home grown guy like McLeod (for better or worse).

With how nonchalantly the games are being called, players like Kane are the driving force of physicality+skill.

Teams are scared of him. Runs over Hill (pushed or not), throws down the gauntlet (helmet), and nobody from Vegas goes to him.

This is the healthiest he has been since his first season here. His skating is light years better than it was last season. He looks like he is back to his 30 goal scoring self.

He’ll be on the team next year. Players like him are very, very hard to find.

I'll admit that I was wrong when it came to him. I didn't think he would have the impact he is having right now. He's bringing out there and making a difference.

Draisaitl and McDavid have been quiet (by their standards) the last few games. But did the Oil fold like a cheap lawn chair? No, because Kane being in the centre of everything kept Vegas off their game.

Mix in some quality reinforcements with Frederic, Podz, Perry, Hyman, and Nurse; and he's got all the backup he needs, so the team can keep bringing it shift after shift. But it's always Kane that's the main sparkplug.


Having that loud, middle-of-the-action seeking, menace is invaluable. Contrast this team to the Leafs: Sure, there's Domi who can take a pot shot/drive by as a response, and guys like McMann, Carlo, McCabe, Benoit, and Reaves, who are game for any battle. But they don't have anyone that can get Florida off their game and focus on them.

What I mean by that, it's not just the physicality, it's the mouth too. A good example of this is Lucic vs. Maroon. Lucic was the toughest guy in the league, but he rarely got into the game within the game. You could let the sleeping bear hibernate. He wouldn't drag the team into battle, you had to bring the battle to him for him to be impactful. Maroon meanwhile would chip endlessly and always go to greasy areas. He made you focus on him and not fully on shutting down McDrai or Schenn and Tarasenko or Stamkos and Kucherov. That's the same energy you're getting from Kane.
