Holding up stacks of $$ on social media during the lockout to show it doesn't bother him ***** on the paying fan in my opinion as well.

Do you know he was doing that, or did you just assume he was doing that and are now stating it as fact?

I clicked on the thread intrigued to see what the rumor was, but then I realized the source of the rumor was from Eklund.

I really don't see the Sabers taking Beleskey in a deal involving Kane. I could see them taking a flyer on Hayes if the piece we add is Spooner. Still I would do it. Those are two players who won't likely be part of the future and Kane is a player I have always liked.ý

assuming he could be had (inter division) and the price was right i would take a flyer on him. I assume Bergeron, Backes, and Chara could keep him in line. plus a contract year for him.

I don't think it was intended to offend the fans, no. I think the statement was directed at the league.

No doubt but there are certainly fans who lead a less privileged lifestyle finding ways to fill seats to watch his team and keep him employed!

I've never been so torn on a player, he has skill we need and could be had for a price we are willing to pay. I think his locker room stuff is a maturity thing and won't be an issue in Boston. However, charges dropped or not I don't think I could ever endorse bringing Kane into Boston after the reports out of the bar in Buffalo came out.

Not sure Boston would be willing to give up what Buffalo would want for him, especially considering he might only be here one year. I would guess there are some teams willing to give up more than the Bruins would and take a chance on him. He has shown no ability to behave in a mature manner throughout his career. He gives lip service to maturing and all that, but he hasn't done it. He plays an exciting brand of hockey, though, and would fill a need in Boston. I just don't see Buffalo moving him without getting something nice in return. Have to remember if they trade him that creates a pretty big hole on their team.

If you can get him basically for free, I'll do it.

Anything else, no. Guy's a dirtbag and a distraction.

I may not go quite so far as to say he's a locker room cancer, but he's at least one big, ugly ulcer. It sucks too because if it weren't for the off I've issues he would be a decent fit. But as is I have close to zero interest in the guy, he's a real ****head.

If Kane was a football player his issues would be considered minor and belichick would pick him up and turn him into the superstar he's talented enough to be. I'm not saying hes a great guy (I honestly don't know, never met him) and he does have I think 2 off ice incidents in his career although one was potentially completely made up, im not sure what makes his antics any different from seguin or the other Kane. And maybe he has grown up, this was his best season after all. Or maybe he hasn't. Low risk high reward. Like I said, he's good enough that I'd give up real assets to add him to the top 6

Id have him, but im not giving up much for him. Beleskey or Hayes goes the other way I do it. But simply trade for him? No. Although his 20+ goals would help.

Forget Kane, I could see him being a problem the minute Butch doesn`t like his game on a particular night, sits him for a bit and then we turn on our computers to read Kane is upset with how he`s being treated or some other issue.

This guy hasn`t earned the right to be trusted as far as being a guy who is all about team

Who wouldn't do it if it meant Beleskey going the other way? One year of Kane partying beats multiple years of Beleskey doing nothing for way too much money. It's not impossible that he smartens up on a cup contender, playing for Buffalo would drive a lot of people to drink.

Matt Belesky is a character player on a bad contract. He should rebound and be a decent third line option and score 30-35 points and bring a desperately needed physical presence.

Evander Kane is Alexander Daigle with a physical game. Lazy and uninvolved too many nights, his off ice issues are a whole other issue. If you let Tyler Seguin walk because of off ice issues (Loui Eriksson as the big return is the same as letting him walk) then you stay away from Kane

While every player is different, some successful Bruins came to town with similar reputations. Middleton & Linesman, for example, weren't considered team first guys, if I recall correctly.

Both turned out to be solid guys and productive players.

Not saying Kane would do the same, but if the price were right, I'd like to think that;

1. the leadership here is strong enough to teach him the right way to be a pro

and

2. Kane and/or his handlers are smart enough to realize that given the reputation that the Bruins leadership has, this may be his last good chance to change his reputation.

Maturity issues continue to dog this guy. But the biggest concern to me is his abusive attitude towards women. Simply not a good guy at this point in his life. Or as of last year, no stories since then.
