BTW I did say Bouchard has been amazing and we would not be here without him. He is our internal SMYTHE winner. I have no bones to pick with Bouchard, but you guys keep going.

Again I didn't see it coming and admit i was wrong, but i'm glad that Bouchard is playing like a top tier NHL defensemen. Hopefully we finish the job.

Good news is our whole backend can move the puck up the ice even if Bouchard gets targeted. This is the most mobile back end I’ve ever seen the Oilers ice.

I have to admit i'm a little worried about Kulak on the right side and I do not know what the answer is. 11-7? doubful

Hopefully Kulak picks up his play, but if it doesn't go well maybe Ekholm coming back will be a bad omen

Why because he made one bad turnover on the first Robertson goal? Outside of that Oilers dominated every metric with him on the ice in game 5.

TOI: 20:04, CF 23, CA 9, CF% 71.88, SF 15, SA 2, SF% 88.25, GF 3, GA 1, GF% 75.0, xGF 1.31, xGA 0.23, xGF% 84.93, SCF 13, SCA 3, SCF% 81.25, HDCF 10, HDCA 1, HDCF% 90.91.

Kulak has been historically one of our most consistent dmen in the playoffs.

I mean Kulak has been fantastic this playoffs so it's not really an option. We just have to hope the pair works out..

I agree, but if he can't play that way with Nurse, unless Ekholm falters then the priority would be getting a partner for Nurse which is Stecher. Walman and Klingberg are great together, and so are Bouchard and Ekholm. If Kulak can't make it work on his offside, then bring in Stecher to support Nurse to ensure we have 3 functional pairings.

I agree that 11/7 isn't the answer, as we need to roll 4 forward lines to be successful.

I agree Kulak last game was suspect the fumble of the puck brought the Stars right back into the game , let's hope that is his last one this playoffs
