Lol. Very few if any dman rush the puck up for entries. Makar and Hughes are enigmas.

A. Bouchard rushed the blueline 3 times yesterday

B. All 3 times ended up in extended plays

C. His headman passes are tops in the league. He doesn't need to rush it as the plays usually end up in successful entries when he breaks it out.

I target inaccuracy, and you post alot of em.
Nobody said he's one of the top dmen in rushing, but he actually does it quite often. He also gains the zone and makes a good play on a high % of those rushes Like I said...3x just last game.

You said he's horrible at it...which is 100% inaccurate

It's the new hockey era. We are seeing more and more of these puck carrier Dman coming into this league. So I won't be surprise a Bouchard type will come by again. It's the Ekholm type that will be rare breed in todays' era.

Agreed, but it doesn't mean Bouchard is good at skating the puck into the zone on his own. If anything like you have said there will be faster and faster players coming into the league, which in turn will age out Bouchard faster

Bouchard is kind of like Drai when he's carrying the puck up the ice. He slows the play down. We had a lot of good puck carrier coming thru actually. Broberg, Kesselring, Nurse, Barrie just off the top of my head.

Bouchard isn't irreplaceable but the team should try their best to get him signed lower dollar and max term first before exploring trades.

Yes, but now team are backing off, taking away the pass and letting him carry it in the zone because he struggles at that where as Drai has the ability to take it in on his own. Guys like Drai and Kuch slow the game down. Bouchard just plays slow all over the ice.

Games like these are why Bouchard is valuable. Yeah he has some egregious defensive lapses and giveaways, but he'll have games where he's a driving force in the transition game, extended 5v5 offensive possessions, and the power play, and contributes to wins more than enough to make up for it.
