Which part of Hawaii? I went to Maui about 10 years ago. Hope you enjoy!

We landed in Honolulu today--so right now we're in Oahu--on thursday we fly to the Big Island for 5 days and then to Maui for 2. FWIW I always wanted to go to Paris and Prague as well. You're way ahead of me.

When are you going? Definitely try to catch a Bundesliga match in Munich. Bayern is obviously there. Never been to their stadium but have gone in Germany before. Its insane even if you don't care for soccer.

We'll be in Munich for the few days just before U.S. Thanksgiving. Wife is not a sports fan, and we have a limited amount of time, but maybe I'll suggest it to her lol.

I feel like all the best restaurants in Prague are American anyway. Czech food gets real old real quick.
Yeah, it's really good every once in a while, but menus offering 10 types of sausage, 10 types of meat in heavy sauce, and 10 types of dumpling does get old pretty quick...

The beer on the other hand...

I haven't been to Prague since the Rangers game in '08 but I enjoyed the city. The area where we stayed (Mustek?) had a bit of a 42nd st grime thing going on (the proprietor of the hotel/apartment thing we stayed at warned us every 2 hours to stay away from the gypsies outside) but most of the city was beautiful.

What doesn't get old is $8 duck dinners.

The cuisine is kind of limited, though personally I enjoy it a lot. Spent a semester there for school a few year's back.

Two places I definitely recommend: U Bulinu (trad Czech fare) and Bad Jeff's Barbecue (fittingly, on a street named Americká).

Catching the redeye to Paris tonight. Will miss tonight's game.

Yeah, the only negative thing I have to say about Prague (or the Czech Republic in general) is that vegetables are definitely an afterthought.

Prague was great. The one thing that was kinda minor-league was charging money for the bathrooms. But I understand the reasons (drug abuse, criminal activity).

That's normal in Europe. But for that 50 cents you get public toilets so clean you don't need desinfectant for every single skin cell after using it
