Euro Hockey Tour: Euro Hockey Tour, 2024-2025

I was thinking the same thing... get him on EHT and into some of the precamp games. Just for the experience. Especially if he's not going to be drafted.. he could be our next Ondrej Nemec.

Scary to think that Zabransky and Kucerik would've been top 4D for us at one of those U20 events we normally got smoked at. I like Zabransky to be honest. Still waiitng for Klikorka to be drafted.lol
Oh god Klikorka .. I still have recurring nightmares about the guys like Klikorka, Kucerik, Sadla, Vala, Hrdinka etc. playing for our U20 getting completely annihilated and looking like they are playing hockey for the first time ever lol.

Damn those were dark times, compared to that our current U20 D looks like a legit all star team lol.

Bringing it even one level above those guys with the squads from some 15 years ago and guys like Jank, Sidlik, Jenik, Urbanec, Marcel, T.Voracek, O.Horak ..... damn having some serious ptsd looking at those squads

I enjoyed Jank! I thought him and Salda were making the NHL.lol I still remember thinking how good Daniel Krejci was too! Looking back it is really clear why NHL doesn't draft us.lol

Vojtech Hradec is in.. I applaud nominating such a young player. He is a big boy but still a teenager. Zadina is out. Someone else good is also out but I forgot who.lol

Switzerland without Malgin and Andrighetto who played the other two tournaments.

Kevin Pasche and Dario Rohrbach get their first call.

Torhüter (3): Stéphane Charlin (SCL Tigers), Kevin Pasche (Lausanne HC), Ludovic Waeber (EHC Kloten)

Verteidiger (9): David Aebischer (HC Lugano), Iñaki Baragano (SCRJ Lakers), Tim Berni (Genève-Servette HC), Giancarlo Chanton (Genève-Servette HC), Dominik Egli (Frölunda HC / SHL), Michael Fora (HC Davos), Tobias Geisser (EV Zug), Sven Jung (HC Davos), Romain Loeffel (SC Bern)

Stürmer (15): Nicolas Baechler (ZSC Lions), Christoph Bertschy (HC Fribourg-Gottéron), Enzo Corvi (HC Davos), Luca Fazzini (HC Lugano), Ken Jäger (Lausanne HC), Simon Knak (HC Davos), Mike Künzle (EV Zug), Tyler Moy (SCRJ Lakers), Marco Müller (HC Lugano), Théo Rochette (Lausanne HC), Dario Rohrbach (SCL Tigers), Tristan Scherwey (SC Bern), Sandro Schmid (HC Fribourg-Gottéron), Justin Sigrist (ZSC Lions), Calvin Thürkauf (HC Lugano)

Also in Switzerland, tough every 2nd person in Switzerland seems to be sick at the moment, at least in my environment.

Out: Charlin, Waeber, Geisser, Loeffel, Corvi, Moy, Rochette, Scherwey
In: Aeschlimann, Senn, Frick, Marchon, Ritzmann, Sablatnig, Taibel

Taibel probably the most interesting player out of them.

We're about to get stomped.lol

I don't mind at all and like the idea of finding new blood but Korenar is going to have a tough afternoon.lol

Finn's beat us but I thought, given how young and inexperienced we were, that we looked okay! No idea how strong the Finn's were. Maybe they were trying out young kids too. Nice to see Cibulka getting some reps! And Hradec! I like the idea and wish we had more strong young players in Europe as most leave.

Beat the Swiss so we went 2 and 1 with a very young team lacking much star power (note: Czech star power).

Really happy with that.

Rulik also said that world's are on big ice (which he is not a fan of) and he will be looking for skater oriented type players. So Flek is in and Musil is out.lol

Good tournament win for the Finns. Tapola could easily be a head coach for our national team in the future. He is a really good coach. Of course this is Pennanen's team but anyways.

Sweden keeps sucking this eht season. We won EHT 3 years in row prior to this EHT season. The problem this season is that Hallam takes out too many old players and grinders.

One of few players who impressed me this time was Dahlbeck. He was physical (!) and just overall decent. Maybe he reads hfboards and saw my criticism of him. :D

Dahlbeck plays a very decent season with Davos I really couldn't understand the aversion against him he doesn't seem very popular among swedish hockey fans lol

Next EHT tournament is in May in Czechia, before that, in April, we have 3 games against Finland. We need to change lots of players.

Silfverberg - Wallmark - Lodin
Hållander - F Olofsson - Steen
M Sylvegård - L Andersson- Strömwall
Karlberg - Niederbach - Lindblom

Forsmark - Söderström
Dahlbeck - Pellika
Häman Aktell - Nyström

Juel
Holm
Persson

Something like this. Dahlen is always bad in Tre Kronor. Hopefully many NHLers will join.

My theory is that we have this 4 nations thing and then best on best Olympics in 2026 so I'm not expecting many NHLers at all. Just a theory and could be wrong but I'm already picturing the Czech roster with very few NHL guys. Best case scenario is a euro based one with some AHL guys like Jiricek, Kulich, Spacek, Svozil and maybe Dobes. I can't see Necas, Pasta, Zacha or Gudas returning. Maybe Hronek. Dostal will be without contract, so will Vej. Rutta is without contract (and may be returning to Europe).

So I'm expecting Euro stars and NHL busts!
