Vlasic at first looked like he could be consistently effective in covering g up for $9.5...but as 2nd half wore on,it is obvious Jones and his defending issues have dragged Vlasic back down ...from a high near +10 to now -10 level ...you just cannot stay good for long playing with $9.5 ...inevitable downfall for any d-partner playing long enough with $9.5.

His numbers are impressive, especially for a guy who is considered more of a SAH type. More than twice the amount of points of Allan, while only playing one more game. Better PPG than Phillips, who is a lot more experienced, and Kaiser, who is more experienced and is generally considered more of a 2-way D. Also 2nd best plus/minus on the team after Guttman.
His stock continues to rise. Hawks are gonna end up with him, Vlasic, and KK as our left side D of the future and I'm all for it.

I think Chicago - not unlikely other teams - kept drafting trees to find the next Chara. Constant failures can create a bias and I think Vlasic fell victim to that bias (assumption chara was a unicorn, which he is, but 6' 6" D can be extraordinarily successful - need patience).
Vlasic was a good prospect but we couldn't see that clearly bc of picks like Danis-Pepin. There's also extra projection/hope with tall players bc it takes longer to figure out your body & grow into it.
