I really don’t see how Kaliyev is A. Getting dicked around and B. Lafferiere is making him expendable. But ok
We have people in our base, confusing hockey with WWE wrestling.
They are obsessed with toughness and heart but somehow totally neglect that the target of the game is to get a puck into opponents net.

They also ignore the bigger picture that the big guys who are paid to dollars are utterly useless.
Our top center and #1 defense are being used as a floor mop is of no concern to them and they try to make up the quality differences by toughness.
They went this far to celebrate the signing of a 36 year old scrapper who wasn't even good enough for the Flames.

When all is lost, the goalie is to blame.
We have a great guy who went 24 wins by 6 losses but this is all not good enough.
Also Portillo is a fantastic goalie prospect with size but hey, who cares.

How are Kings fans already writing off Copley who was more than adequate for the Kings last year in the regular season?

Oh that's right, we lost our first game of the season against a stout Colorado team. BLOW IT UP!!

Moore is untradeable (and not just because he has a modified no-trade clause this season). No one is going to take a 10-15 goal scorer making $4.2M for the next 5 seasons. That was such a dumb extension by Blake. He could've given that spot and $1M of that to someone else, like Anderson-Dolan, Fagemo, Lafferiere or Turcotte, and then had $3.2M + Talbot's $1M = $4.2M to put towards a better goaltender.
Blake saw Iafallo's contract eating up his cap space and said "watch this"

Kaliyev will probably be a 30+30 or at least a 25+25 type of player, and he's only 22. I also think that Kaliyev doesn't have the type of value around the league that his production would justify.

As such, I think that this will inevitably be poor value for LAK.

Copley is an AHL/Back up. This has nothing to do with first game lost. A lot of people thought going into the offseason that Goaltending was LA's main need.

Philly should be offering Hart to LA and Oilers and go to highest bidder
once the team canada stuff is out LA should be all over Hart if is clear.

This needs to be printed and sent to every Kings executive.

How about 3-time Stanley Cup Winner Jonathan Quick? I hear he's already lived in that area, so it shouldn't be that big an adjustment

The Kings will have to look at moving Roy, Moore or Danault (probably in that order) for a goaltender if it comes to that point (which I’m thinking it will). You just can’t call yourself a contender with 2 goalies like this.
This will never happen. With Arvidsson on LTIR and paper transactions Kings will be fine in the long run.

You don;t need a $10 Million Goalie to win the Stanley Cup, look. at the last two winners, Vegas and Colorado. Talbot has been very good in Minnesota, Edmonton and even in a limites season in Ottawa, don't trade away good prospects for a John Gibson, that would be stupid.

Let's not be picky. LA could use any goaltender right now, established or not. Your 4th stringer would probably stop more pucks than either of LA's goaltenders have so far.

He's a nice player, but not much difference from him to players like Lafferty and Eric Robinson except 3 million in cap space, not the best extension.
