They had initially called us the "Toronto Maple Leaves" but I see they have now corrected it.

I don't know whether it's because they are dumb or whether they were trying to troll us over the Kessel situation.

Leafs on the list:
#20 - Kessel
#51 - Lupul
#54 - JVR
#64 - Clarkson
#78 - Kadri

We must be one of the teams with the most forwards on the list.

Stamkos and Ovi not top 5, MSL not top 10, Kessel tied with Getzlaf and Thornton (pretty fair actually), they gave Kovalchuk a pitty ranking...

The Kessel rating is pretty fair in terms of who he is tied with. However, I would not take Zach Parise or Logan Couture over any of those three, so they should all be ranked higher.

Bergeron does not deserve to be ranked 8, in front of Kane and Giroux.

I also don't think Jonathan Toews is better than Ovechkin, Stamkos, or Datsyuk.

The thing that shocks me most is that Bobby Ryan is not on the list. When you look at the players who are, there is no way he doesn't deserve to be there. He should probably even be inside the top 50.

I agree I thought they overrated Parise (likely entirely based on him being a candidate for captaincy on Team USA) and the Couture rating is premature. I find Thornton to be the better player at this moment, but will likely be eclipsed by the end of this upcoming season. I'd rather have Getzlaf over Perry too tbh.

I honestly didn't even realize Bobby Ryan wasn't on it. There's probably a few other snubs that I didn't notice.

Uhh, they really shouldn't be doing a list if they can't get the most storied franchise's "name" correct.. That's sad.

P.S that list is dog ****.

Sven Baertschi made the list at 100.

Interesting to see how they graded the players. I think the smartest thing they did was use " around experts at the top.

Still a crap list that wildly overrates any guy who's ever played for a cup winner, but at least the Leafs are slowly but surely earning some respect.

Nice to see Kessel creep into the top 20, even though he deserves even higher than that, after barely cracking top-50 lists last year even after finishing 6th in league scoring. Also nice to see Seguin drop fall from top-30ish status down to the mid 70s, which is more consistent with his actual performance instead of just anti-leafs hype.

But again, the list is still crap.

I have no idea how Logan Couture, especially, became so crazily overrated. He's a 60ish pt type player without a great physical or all around game. He should be nowhere remotely close to being ranked that high.

The fact that he is even on a list of top 100 NHL forwards shows you how asinine this list is. Newsflash ESPN, Kovalchuk retired from the NHL to go play in the KHL...why not rank Gretzky still?

EDIT: Their Defencemen ranking still has Phaneuf in a Flames jersey
