McDavid's jersey retirement ceremony was awesome, but couldn't they have had a spotlight on the banner when it was unveiled?

Thought that was weird and the fact it lasted nearly 45 minutes and the kids on both sides had no real warmup after.

The presentation itself was well done. Perhaps the order of operations and all that could have been done differently.

Dave Brown fails the team again with no moves before the deadline...

Even the weather people get things right in Erie more than he does.

Erliden basically quit on the team after some really crappy play. Looked like he pulled himself again and Stan had lost the team. Zero control...nearly a line brawl started by Roysten to end the 2nd by the benches.

I said he quit on his team the last time he pulled himself and was told he would never quit on his team. He’s pulled himself out twice in his last three starts.

Burns is playing better than Erliden right now. That’s a huge cause of concern.

I honestly can't say for sure if he did or didn't but it certainly gave the illusion in real time. The first goal on him was horrendous on his part. They scored the 4th goal and he removed his helmet, skated straight to the bench, and didn't say a word. Perhaps HE is holding himself to a higher standard, but 4 goals on 10 shots is pretty bad.

That being said, the team looked like it was their 3rd game in 3 days. They were slow, missing passes, and just completely outclassed by Saginaw. I think we saw that in Erliden being removed, Henry getting tossed, and Roysten attempting to start another line brawl at the end of the 2nd.

This team has an identity crisis going on right now. The only one getting fired up out there was Spence and I would say he had a pretty bad game too.

Dave Brown making no changes at the deadline and staying pat SHOULD be the nail in the coffin for his job. This team may limp in, but doubtful they get through the first round unless something big happens. They should have either sold major assets to get a return for next season or they should have tried to shore up some depth/positions with acquisitions. They did neither. Dave Brown is burying this team and until he is removed, Erie will remain in mediocrity.

He absolutely did not pull himself from the game. I saw Burns putting on his cage before Erliden left the crease. You want to criticize his performance? Fine. But don't make up crap to attack his character.

When they were on the road I commented that he pulled himself out and people said he wouldn’t do that. The 1/4 loss he didn’t make any effort to save any of the pucks. He didn’t even move as an attempt for a save he usually could make.

Mata also said the same thing yesterday in regard to him quitting so I was referencing that comment.

He likely gives himself a 4 goal deficit before deciding he should call it a night for himself. That seems to be the threshold. I know he works hard and it’s evident. The concern is he hasn’t been as sharp since his groin injury. It’s hard to say what it is or what happened for him to be in a slump.

Since Noah Erliden’s groin injury (vs SAG on 12/14), he has allowed 20 goals in six games with a 4.40 GAA (3-3-0)

I really hope everything’s okay with him; after his second shutout, he was Top 3 in GAA, and Save % and looked like one of the best goalies in all of the CHL
