Yeah I would think from anyone else's perspective it wouldn't be a good season. Two big clubs end the season in full out freefalling crisis. One has to repeatedly watch their rivals win trophies, I know exactly what that feels like, it's hard to stomach it. Some people have decided to drink red or blue and white kool aid, rest of us can sit here and laugh all we want, but there's a lot of people who see with clear eyes what's going on at their club and it has to be tough to accept.
From our perspective it's the season of our dreams. Get to win the title so early that there's no nerves about it, most of us have known since January that everyone else was cooked. Last couple games didn't even give a shit. 20 years I've posted here and can't ever remember caring about games less than these last couple games. The only negative thing is that one person decided to try to make themselves the center of attention over and over again. Media were absolute jackals and wouldn't stop showing him so it's not entirely his fault.
We have the chance to keep this going. Last time the chance was taken away from us by Pickford being a piece of shit and VVD blowing his ACL. Something like that could always happen again. You have to learn how to appreciate these things while they last. Even if it happens again you might not be able to celebrate it with your loved ones. There's so many supporters who didn't make it these 35 years. There are a couple examples I'm thinking of specifically, I met this older supporter and his family at the Rose Bowl 9 years ago, the older man couldn't possibly still be alive. I hope his family was happy today. To make a long story short, when they showed Kenny and Benitez in the crowd earlier my mind immediately jumped to other people who didn't make it.
Let's do it again next year.
