Neto is decent defensively, he at least tracks back and applies pressure well. With Man City and Newcastle getting points and Nottingham playing tomorrow, a win here would do Chelsea a lot of good.
Neto and Madueke manning the flanks might backfire defensively.
Enzo!
Of course.Yes, PSG is unreal. That’s why they were able to take out good PL teams. That’s just PSG being good. And like I don’t think you can say the other L1 teams “made damage in Europe” and ignore what the PL teams have done in Europe. PL is have a good year. PSG is having a great year.
So close for Neto.
They teams that have “failed” have lost to PSG, who also can buy anyone they want. To a greater degree than the teams they have knocked out. And it’s a credit to PSG that they are boss, but it doesn’t me the PL is weak, it just means PSG has the highest ceiling of any club on the planet. And still, LFC took them to PKs, Aston Villa (who is fighting for 5th) scared the crap out of them, and Arsenal is not dead yet either.Of course.
All those L1 teams together have less budget that one of those PL teams.
There's no excuse for PL teams to fail like they have when they can buy anyone they want.
And then the knockout stage happened. It’s certainly fair to say those teams overachieved. You know I respect most of those. But again if you are going to talk about PL teams getting KO’ed out of Europe early, PSG is the only one with blood on their handsNah you're focusing on PSG, not on the other teams.
Monaco beat Barca and Villa.
Lille beat Real, Atletico, tied Juve and barely lost at Pool with 10 men.
Brest tied Leverkusen.
All four of these teams are (probably) going to to be a cup final this month. At least two of these will (probably) be in UCL next year. One of these teams spent nine figures in January to get back on trackChelsea, United, Spurs, City have all struggled for long stretches (or still do) this season.
