Midweek madness because of the FA Cup! City takes on Villa to kick off the week, with big implications for champions league. Arsenal hosts a London derby needing a win to survive. Ipswich needs a win in Newcastle to cling to hope, while West Ham getting a result in Brighton will confirm their safety. Similarly, Liverpool beating Spurs would see them win the title.

Arsenal's CL magic number is currently 7 although practically they're already at least in the top 5 even if they somehow lose every game.
Actually looks like with all the teams playing each other Arsenal's CL magic number is 6 due to the 5 after them playing against each other.

If Forest don't win today that drops to 5, although that isn't looking very likely with how this game started.

Interesting how Spurs miraculously finding form and beating Liverpool to deny the title and rolling over to give them the title would both be equally Spursy

I do not care about the EPL in the slightest, but I am still watching matches so Chelsea doesn't make CL lol.

I think it would be more Spursy for them to beat Liverpool with 18 losses on the season than lose 6-1 at this point.

Good to have the weekend off before the PSG-game. A win should probably secure Top 5.
When PSG put the press onto Arsenal they won't know what hit them.
Wolves running at a pack of sheep.
Will be a test of Arsenal defensive coordination.

Or I can be completely wrong of course =P

Hopefully Villa wipe City... I am soooo sick of the boring hold the ball tactic.... dreadful already.
Even though they've been exposed and fold to the press... most teams still don't do it. Hard to believe. Just knock them out Villa!

I mean, not really the right thread for it but - PSG will be clear favourites, as they are indeed favourites for the overall title. That said, Arsenal has shown they can come to play and PSG has shown they can have major breakdowns, so nor is the conclusion entirely foregone

It's the second time Emery's put him in at right back for no reason and lost the game/tie
That replay from the incoming pass to doku is textbook exactly what not to do when defending the side, especially in the final minute. Not to mention Villa had 3 players on the left side defending and only two on Doku side, so if he broke through it would be, exactly what happened.... scramble.

It also would have been better if the close defender just charged Doku and clattered him in a take the ball or man or both challenges. Instead he kinda backed off and let Doku keep running.

Yes, I agree. You can see indecision and then what do I do now that I am so close to him.

Basically alone, nobody was helping or coming to help on that side. Doku saw if he was past him he was free...

It was two follies. He charged at the pass to doku _almost_ being able to get to it....
instead stopping just short of doku - then - the fatal mistake, already being in close / not physically tying him up / he went to kick out his leg to block the ball - now out of the play and not close enough to cause a worry on doku (from behind closing in).

It was a beautiful play offensively and a beautiful breakdown....
