GWT: EPL - Matchweek 32 (ft. MW 29)

I thought there was a 6th substitution rule in case of injuries, but is that only for head injuries?

Liverpools magic number now at 6.
LFC's Magic Number is 9; 8 subject to Goal Difference.

Arsenal have 63. if they win out they get 18 points and max out at 81.

LFC currently have 73 points. 81 - 73 = 8 for the tie. 9 needed to clinch 100%

For some reason I looked at the table and thought they only had 5 games left. With 6 games left (which you're right they actually have) your numbers are accurate.

GD would be tight, although I'd favor Arsenal a bit if a tie actually happened.

It's all good. I have probably been looking at this a bit more than you have been :)

Win tomorrow takes it down to 6 though, but our clinch date doesn't move up unless Arsenal drop to Ipswich and Crystal Palace

Arteta messed up big time today. He should have rested his starters to close out the 2nd leg of the game. Yeah 3-0 is a big deficit, but look at what liverpool did to Barcalona at Anfield a few years ago.
If anything I think that it kind of vindicates Slot not playing a B Team against Southampton in between the PSG games. PSG can afford to rest their A team midweek; but you cannot do that in the PL or something like this can happen. Yeah it feels bad LFC got knocked out by PSG, but points in the PL are hard to come by. Arsenal played the B Team because they are prioritizing UCL, and that's probably the right move for them

City up on Real Madrid by 2 or 3 goals 3 or 4 years ago... with little time left in the second leg? City lost.

City just scored 5 goals out of nowhere in a few minutes today? (even with how horrible they are).

Arsenal can have 5 goals going into Madrid and that wouldn't be considered a big deficit. The pure (whatever you want to call it --) dominance of RM in the CL shouldn't by any chance mean Arsenal have it won already.

By the way Barcelona only rested two starters as well. (a bit different situation in the CL).
--------------
I'd do just like in a video game... start five starters and play half the match. Second half sub the five starters with the five other starters and someone gets a day off.
