Brighton just don't look great imo.

I have not data to back this up right now but i just feel like we leak more chances than years past.

Unfortunately, having none of the CL contenders get that last 1/2 spots isn’t an option, but I do think it would be hilarious for Forest to bottle it and then fade back into obscurity after holding the spot all season.

Shame that Tierney was offside as it would have been nice to get him on the scoresheet. Nwaneri puts in those crosses exactly like Saka.

That only being a yellow card and confirmed by VAR is ridiculous in the context of the reds we've received this year.

Someone please show that Saliba pass to Gary Neville after that clip came out of him complaining about CBs being on the ball too much nowadays

I think his point was that players like Rice and Odegaard should be your players with the most touches, which i agree with.

Especially for weaker teams like us, if Colins and Ajer are over the ball more than Damsgaard, we have a huge problem.

There's also a huge difference between a world class Saliba and Lewis Dunk.
Ok, but there's CBs today that have just as good passing range as above average midfielders when he played. His point also ignores that the teams outside the top 6 have significantly better talent than when he played and are setting up in better structured low blocks with that talent. So you need press baiting CBs to open up space for those midfielders to get on the ball.

Lewis Dunk was a very good press baiting CB in De Zerbi's system.

I agree for the most part because the flat footed CB is gone the way of the dodo, but most teams outside of the top 6 aren't good enough to constantly be playing out of the back like they're 70's to 90's Brasil. Especially when they have capable players down the middle.

I feel so dirty defending Gary Neville. I will stop now. And have a shower.

Agree that it's definitely not how every team should be playing.

But he started his point by just listing off the top 5 of like VVD, Saliba, Colwill, Gvardiol, and Dunk - all guys playing in that type of system for the biggest clubs (aside from Dunk). Meanwhile, the top 10 includes Bruno, Tielemens, and Caicedo. And if you look at last year, the top 2 were Rodri and Pascal GroB.
