GWT: EPL - Matchweek 30

Maguire scoring with his foot would've been the humiliation Forest deserved with their Atletico Madrid level shithousery.

What is this nonsense? We played 120 minutes on the south coast on Saturday evening and United were totally rested. We’re missing CHO, Aina and Wood too, we don’t have the massive squad depth that others have. Sorry it wasn’t free flowing total football, we did what we had to do to win - and we did.

That's no excuse for the amount of diving and time wasting.

I didn’t think they were that bad.

Yates did his usual stuff, but other than that it was fairly normal long goal kicks which is always gonna happen when up 1 in a game where play is generally going against you in terms of possession.

Ref got most of the decisions right. Sure there’s a few I’d nitpick over, but nothing egregious.

United just, as has been normal, completely failed to accomplish anything in the final third.

It's a United fan who's bitter

They accomplished something, just not goals. The story of the season.

Pretty laughable to call out a team a third of your budget for time wasting or diving when you employed some of the worst offenders and cry babies
Yea, being frustrated by it is one thing (and, as a fan of a big team, I have been frustrated by it before!), but repeated doubling down after the fact, references to "Atletico Madrid shithousery", and claims about a 'deserved humiliation' are, uh, embarrassing.

Who else is ready for a perfectly normal game today?

Alisson out with post-concussion from international break. Kelleher is starting

Curtis Jones is starting at RB.

Bradley and Gomez are back in training but this game was too soon. Bench is ugly today

Against Everton also.

Surprised Quansah isn't starting. At least Konate is back and healthy
A lot of people are surprised. Think he probably gets subbed on at some point. I also think Quansah was only playing RB, because there was no one else; and simply because Slot didn’t want to break up the existing CB partnership. Don’t think he’s playing RB because he is a functional RB.

Of course the problem with Jones playing RB is we don’t have any midfielders now either

Im shocked to me that's a clear red card. Its espieclally funny give Alexis red card.

THat force that high up textbook red for me.
Ever since Pickford got away with that season ending tackle on Virgil, just feels like Everton allowed to use excessive force. The foul tilt is always wretched in these games. I mean LFC’s foul tilt always looks like shit but in this fixture especially it’s bogus

Yeah, Liverpool have never been the beneficiary of a bad call against Everton...
