The idea that the walls are always 10 yards back is just deeply hilarious given that it's just the officials pacing it out and then inevitably the FK taker and the wall both move while he's not watching.
They're supposed to spray on the ground where it should be but Taylor's cearly not doing it and Bruno even asked him to do it.

Draw drops LFC's Magic Number to 16

****************

Or 15 subject to GD

Earliest LFC can clinch the title is April 27 x Tottenham (Anfield)

Didn't get to watch today and probably glad that I didn't. Sounds like we were lucky to come away with a point after another disappointing attacking performance from the make shift front three.

League is gone (already was), so shouldn't even risk Saka coming back until the CL QFs.

Honestly, if I was Arsenal I would just shut him (and the other important ones) down until preseason. Arsenal are probably going to be the favorites for the PL next season as long as those guys come back right. I would not put any more mileage on them/risk further problems by coming back too early. Maybe if they can get past Madrid or Madrid, but I simply would not do it.

I think ManU wakes up for these type of games against Arsenal, MC, and LFC. It's a reason why we barely win 2-1 in Old Trafford, having a superior team and why a team like Brighton can come in and get a 3-0 beatdown. It's always hard to win even if the teams were clearly outmatched.

Yeah, we really do not have a lot of good finishers on this team. For all the good work that Odegaard does, I think we can conclude that his finishing skills are piss poor for a forward going player. I also do not want to be too harsh on Martinelli because it was his first game back, but he had a chance where the ball was free off a rebound (the entire play was offsides in the end) and instead of doing an accurate straight hard strike to the back of the net that Isak would have done, he somehow skies it at 2 metres from the net to the moon. The problem is that it's the norm for him and not really an outlier. Everyone else was meh. Defence was surprisingly bad. I had good things to say about Timber and Rice, but I thought the match was less entertaining than what the announcers were claiming it to be. We allowed ManU to play better than they actually are, but I wonder if some of that was Arsenal playing at such a low level against PSV, which they carried over here. Honestly, the league is done and the results aren't really that important except staying in the top 3. Arteta should focus everything on the CL.

Why is Arsenal the favourite next year?

Is it going to take another Herculean effort from Liverpool lol?

Liverpool is in 1st because of being ridiculously healthy the entire year and playing against a manager's tactics for the first time.

Teams adjust big time, just look at Arsenal and Arteta. Two years ago, we killed it and no team knew how to set up against us. We would have won the EPL title if the corrupt world cup didn't start in the middle of the f***ing season and Saliba's back injury didn't kill the rest of the comeback. Over time, teams learned to play against us by loading two blocks of four and counterattacking. We haven't been the same since.

Scouts will get the book out on Liverpool and teams will adjust big time. LFC will win the title this year, but will have to evolve to keep it because Arsenal knows their problems and will spend money to fix it. Also, if Salah leaves, then that is a huge loss, even if they get Isak.

Who’s your striker next year? Rice? merino? Henry? Until Arsenal buy a forward worth a damn they aren’t winning anything.

Liverpool are first because they are better. They are first by that wide a margin because it’s a weak year.

Agreed on everything, but anything less than 150-180 million spent this summer window, it will be another failure of making this team better. We will have to wait and see, but I would be shocked if Arsenal does not fix their weaknesses this summer, it has to be one of the most talked about issues for the past 3-4 months from every insider.

LFC still have not extended three of theor best players. A lot will depend on what happens with that because it’s still up in the air.
I mean you said it. It’s up in the air.

You see how the summer shakes out before making a prediction. Plus city should bounce back.

This is factually incorrect

This says more about Arteta and Arsenal than it does about the other teams. I also think there is an argument that Arsenal have peaked under Arteta

Sophomore slump certainly can exist.
