I'll never like Calafiori at left back or Merino at center forward lol
You know the funny thing here is Arsenal's next sporting director (Edu replacement) is supposedly the former Atletico Madrid director. So I still don't think there is going to be this major tactical shift. They might triple down on this.

It didn't work, but holy smokes that corner defense was awful from United.

Rice just stood at the top of the box and never moved. The ball was floated over to him from the corner, and a United player never came within 10 yards of him.

Rice should have done better with the time he had.

Rice should have done better with the time he had.
He could have taken the ball down, controlled it for a second, backed a step up, and then strode into a shot with the space he had.

Instead he assumed he had to first time it since he figured that a team that plays above the 8th division wouldn't leave someone that open on a corner

lmao announcers keep trying to show why De Ligt fouled Lewis Skelly while the replays are showing the attacker throwing his trailing leg out to the side while going down to draw contact.

The idea that the walls are always 10 yards back is just deeply hilarious given that it's just the officials pacing it out and then inevitably the FK taker and the wall both move while he's not watching.
Yeah the players are usually smart enough to cheat but here I guess not.

lol well that was coming.
