LFC are not playing good but they are very opportunistic in that game. Salah decision making is superb, it's crazy how smarter of a footballer he has become over the years.

Well Pool showing their form isn't bad.
Back to clear favs against PSG.

De Bruyne was embarrassing.
Should not start.

Pool shows how you park the bus and counter Auxerre 90s style.

Well, there's one silver lining in all this. I'm going to be travelling during the Liverpool-Arsenal game towards the end of the season and at least I can take solace that it will hold no relevance in the title race.

I can smell #20
We take 3 vs Newcastle and we’ll be singing. Still think we need to win all our home games but if we keep picking up points on the road that’ll be nice. That was our toughest road game left but anything can happen on the road

Come into the weekend 8 points clear at the top of the table and talking about saving the season. lmao.
As someone who watched 92 and 97 point teams come in 2nd place and see another possible title end on Gerrard falling on his ass, pardon my caution when I see us give up a 98th minute goal to Everton, blow a possible win vs Newcastle, sleepwalk through Southampton, play outright bad football in Old Trafford and get all of 1 point in 2 matches vs Forest.

I take nothing for granted. Ever. No matter how obvious

It's really how they played. Which is the way to go against City and PSG.
I think we kind of found this by accident. The lineup Slot picked today was simply just the guys that he trusts; but Slot good enough manager that he can adapt tactics to what’s available to him. He cooked up something nasty today. We played the same lineup against Villa and it operated completely differently. Against Villa Jones was basically playing LW and it did not look balanced at all. Today we basically didn’t a 4-6-0 and made the pitch enormous

Yes my number one worry as a pool fan is injuries to any of the starting 11. Also I am now feeling that TAA leaving could be a blessing, he is a good footballer with the ball but without it he is horrible

They did a bit of the 4 2 4 kinda in pre season and early in one of the Cups to an extent. Trying it away to City is a different animal. Lack of Haaland meant that any cross wasn’t getting to a player in the box. I wouldn’t be shocked if that’s the play against PSG away as well. With no striker in form, it solves that issue and the bodies in the midfield mean Liverpool can break up play and limit pace out wide. They’re gambling they can finish a break with Diaz and Salah, which in form, should be possible but they’re only going to get one or two clear chances. They got three today, one offside, one scored and one was marginally offside. It’s a recipe to win 1-0 or 2-0. If Jota was in form, I think it wouldn’t be the plan. They also gave Nunez two or three shots. Neither worked. Gakpo being fit and you might see Diaz in the middle again. I don’t know how much that is the plan over 90 until he’s fully fit.

Honestly you can say whatever you want but Slot is the goods. If that hasn’t been clear to this point, I don’t know what to tell people.
