They have only lost 1 game at home all year and it was in August. Obviosuly you want to win every match but it’s not easy coming here and leaving with all the spoils.
It doesn’t matter. This is a momentum league. You’ve got to put 2nd into the ground when you have the chance. They haven’t. One lose since August doesn’t matter going to hemorrhage points on draws

And having to rely on Darwin Nunez….see for yourself.

I hate this sub

It's these little lulls where Liverpool obviously is in recharge mode...where it feels like we could get scored on in every single one of these lulls.

Nunez 0/10. What the f*** are you doing

What I have just watched?

I know the EPL is very competitive but LFC the past 3 games have been an horrible watch. Either they play scared, or nervous or they don't compete at all but this is unacceptable again for a club like them to fold like they have.

Also on Slot, I have been greatly impressed in the first half of the season but very dissapointed in the 2nd half. He seems to try playing too much of the wing and with passive football. Not to mention all the goals conceded off free kicks/corners.

You do wonder to what extent other coaches might be "figuring out" Slot. I don't watch them enough to know whether that's actually a thing or not and obviously I accept the weariness arising from bossing all comps, but it's an idea that crosses my mind every now and then

It’s fair but also looking at this game, the goals Villa have scored have not been of the “figured Slot out” variety either. Like if you told me Villa scored at least two goals, I would have believed you, BUT not in the way they looked

We really bet the house on Joe Gomez staying healthy.

LFC losing Joe Gomez (when they did) was a bigger injury loss than any of Arsenal’s injuries

Just negligent and avoidable

Yes. I will say it first. LFC will not win the title. Their 'depth' is inexistant and they are already showing massive sign of tiredness.

Nunez being a meme of a player is not helping either.

And Liverpool fans claim I'm the irrational one.
Yes. This is ridiculous. That being said Arsenal have way more depth than LFC especially defensively, LFC are bare bone after the first eleven.

Everyone is tired man. The fixtures don't stop for anyone.
We will see. I have been massively let down by LFC the past two weeks. I used to feel confident now even when they take the lead I know they will inevitably concede. They are playing with a player that should already have been replaced and will be replaced in the summer but every game seem like he is getting worse and worse. And yes I am talking about Robertson.

Quansah, Tsimikas, Gomez, and Bradley is hardly barebones, and that's not even mentioning Endo, Elliott, Nunez, Diaz, Jones, and Chiesa. They have 20 outfield players before getting to youth. Admittedly, Arsenal probably has a deeper backline but that's partially because they've deputized midfielders to play there (MLS and Partey) and partly because they have a couple players who cannot stay healthy and thus don't really count (Tierney, Tomiyasu).

And that's ignoring the fact that Arsenal, for all its depth, has been absolutely shredded by injuries this season.

There is one injury more impactful than Saka and Salah has been healthy all season
Saka being out has had no negative effect whatsoever. Arsenal does not need Saka to score, assist or defend to succeed, and they’ve largely been fine with out him. Also they have players that can step in.

LFC have zero defense depth, Gomez was cornering at least three positions and we have no internal solutions to this problem. We’ve knowingly relied on injury prone players to cover injury prone players and it’s taken less than a month to blow up in their face.

Don't be dramatic. They built a good enough cushion and there's no one with the quality to take it from them

Quansah, Tsimikas are terrible. They are liability.

Gomez is injured and now apparently Bradley too.

Endo/Elliott/Chiesa are NOT player that Slot fancy, now it is more than obvious. They are bodies IMO they will be offloaded in the summer.

Diaz and Nunez seem to already have their head away from LFC.

I think having a phenom like Nwaneri has soften massively the blow for Arsenal. Same with MLS.

Diaz?? Wtf have you been watching?
He is not showing his typical relentless performance. He does care but with all the rumors of him being sold in the summer, it does seem like more and more like it.

Quansah - has regressed and cratered.

Tsimikas - not good

Gomez - injured

and Bradley - injured/injury prone

is hardly barebones, and that's not even mentioning

Endo - not trusted by manager. Zero league starts this season. Less than 100 minutes played in league this season

, Elliott - not trusted by manager. Barely being played. 75 league minutes this season

Nunez - lol

Diaz, Jones - only two that play

and Chiesa - 25 league minutes

They have 20 outfield players before getting to youth
Notes added above. Slot has cut the bench so short because he doesn’t trust enough of them so it’s irrelevant how many players you may think that they have

It’s because Arsenal have bought more than one D since 2021 ; obviously this is a LFC problem but you are missing the point

Gomez isn't even a starter in your best XI, be serious. Missing your back up CB is nowhere near as impactful as losing the second best RW in the world.
