At least twice? f*** if I know. But if you got 11 guys jumping in two footed every game, they’re gonna connect. I know you feel a need to jump into the defense of every Argentinian player and I respect that and I do love Lisandro’s mentality but f*** he needs to be smarter. This is at least the fifth time I’ve seen him attempt a two footed stamp on a player this season. It’s just a weird choice of a tackle that he needs to cut out of his game. Until he does he is always a risk to get sent off.

Actually his last red (and his only red in his professional career) was in 2017/2018 and was for a second yellow when he would have been 19 or 20 and playing in Argentina.

In 6389 minutes for United he has a total of 22 yellow cards which is ~.31 per 90 or an average of 11.8 per season.

He gets shockingly few cards for as much of a lunatic as he is.

He absolutely needs to cut out the two footed stop though because, like I had said earlier as well, eventually he's gonna miss one and with that type of action all it takes it a tiny miss to see red.

The biggest thing about this is that the manager needs support from those above him to do this. If he's got it, he can keep it up and enforce this type of stuff, but if they're too worried about market value and investment, they'll override him and the entire dressing room culture is demolished.

I would hope he's got the support to do it. But isolating a manager and letting the players win out in the long term would be super on brand for United.

I mean sure, but the Ronaldo situation was far more egregious on the player side than the Rashford one.

But I can also see how a manager that's worth his shit would also probably hate dealing with Rashford on a daily basis.

Attitude in training and games. Cam't be bothered to track back or is just jogging. A few years ago or under Ole, he was known for having a good work ethic and was often used more on the left side over Martial, who couldn't be bothered with tracking back (left Shaw way too alone defensively).

He has a habit of trying to take on a defender alone, getting stopped, and then throwing his hands up and moping/walking for a bit instead of making a smart play at first or hustling back after he loses the ball.

I think a lot of the offfield media stuff dragged on him and he’s just totally burned out now and needs a change.

Some off field stuff is slowly coming out. Not sure of the legitimacy of it, but it would track with his career trajectory. But he seems to have picked up a bit of a partying habit and supposedly went out a night before a training and when Amorim brought it up he lied to Ruben. Then you have the interview where he announced he was leaving and I can totally see why Ruben hates him. He's losing a lot of goodwill he has where now he's being a problem off the field and not only on it.

Injuries have been awful and their underlying stats should have them somewhere on the 9-11 range instead of 15th.

They’re also not a knee jerk organization so it’s unsurprising to see them give things more time in general.

I understand that, but I still don’t think that’s good enough. That’s way off pace. Other teams have been injured too. Others teams aren’t 10 places off where their goals are. Those plucky underdogs Man City are back in top 4

I don’t think it’s good enough, but also I don’t think it’s enough for an organization like them to fire a manager mid season.

Pretty sure the upcoming cup matches play a big factor. Even given the state of things I don't think it's a good idea to sack the manager with Europa League this week and League Cup next week. After that, depending on how things (results, injury situation, window activity) go, the seat could get pretty hot.
