Great game. Very good performance by United. Bruno, Ugarte and Dalot were good. Nice finish by Martinez. de Ligt wasn't great on both goals.

All the Liverpool fans came out of the shadows yesterday after Arsenal's draw to talk big and got 'umbled lol. Drawing this pathetic version of a United squad is way worse than drawing Brighton in hindsight.

That’s an Arsenal problem. You guys still spent almost nine figures and added two starting caliber players. Not sure how that’s an awful window
Oh 100% you are right, Arsenal clearly haven't been good in the transfer window and it comes down to Edu and Arteta, only Edu, or a significant blame to Arteta. I am leaning towards both, but more on Arteta because he has super amounts of OCD and wants to play a certain way which requires only certain players. These players are BxB which are good in overall skill, but not amazing in anything.

You don't buy Zinchenko, Jesus, and Havertz for a lot of money by also screwing your FFA and needing to go back in the transfer window to replace them because they are still not good enough. Supposedly Zinchenko will be sold due to an internal study showing he is a surplus. If he's a surplus, then why the f*** did you buy him in the first place? You can also add Tierney to this list, but I don't remember if he was an Arteta buy, I don't think he was, but quote me on that if I am wrong.
So which is it? Is it LFC had an awful window and are dealing with it better, or LFC has better infrastructure and are awful window proofed? It’s not that they missed Zubimendi, they signed a goalie that isn’t going to play a minute for them this season, and Chiesa who has only played 18 minutes in the league. If that’s not an awful window, please tell me what that is. The difference is LFC can deal with adversity. Arsenal can’t.
This is my argument...Liverpool currently winning the league today with 90% of the same team doesn't mean they had awful windows because the entire squad was already there and won the EPL and CL titles years ago. This means, they already had the winning elements to win difficult trophies. Arsenal have been in first for two of the last three years and decided to bottle both of them. Yes, they were against superior MCFC squads, but that clearly shows we do not have the personnel to get it done. Then factor of losing both titles the way we did and how they never fixed the #9 problem. Havertz is somebody I deem a successful buy overall, but he clearly is not the answer when all the fans are still screaming for a proper, deadly #9. Osimhen was available and Napoli was cutting his price big time towards the end there. Gyorokes was also available. There were damn good players available. Hell, Arsenal was rumoured to be very close to getting Isak (who I suggest is the player we should have gone harder after) when he transferred over to the EPL.

I don't buy the arguments Liverpool had a bad transfer window when you lot are in first place both in the CL and EPL. You already have the pieces to win and are showing that. Arsenal already had their seventh draw of the season yesterday in a game where there was a huge lack of goalscoring prowess and creativity.

Yes but you claimed that was impossible.
In all honesty, Bradley is well good enough to be the starter. Just a back up is sufficient.
I did not claim this was impossible. I said we haven’t seen it yet. Today we saw it and it was shocking. He single-handedly gave those points away. I was shocked that he walked the entire game

Yawn, I’ve said all week United would turn up. They had something to play for. Lot of veterans on that squad have heard all week about how they’re trash and need to go. If they couldn’t show up, they really would need to fire the manager already.

Liverpool had a chance for the points and they did not play well for good stretches. It’s disappointing but not the end of the season or race. Barely halfway

Can we sell TAA ASAP to Real. We don't need him at all, he is a huge liability if LFC want to win it all. Thank god Bradley is now back. Promote a kid from the academy and offer that TAA money to new contracts for Salah/VVD
I would kill for a TAA sort of player. You lot are going to lose big time when he's sold IMHO. The entire tactic that makes Liverpool successful is throwing through balls in behind for Egyptian Welbeck to run after them. TAA is one of the best through ball experts in all of Europe.

As for Trent, United certainly keyed on him and took him away most of the match. Really poor performance. I’m not shocked if his people did like I said they might and encouraged the bid. I know Slot has been all about how professional all three have been. That’s easy when they’re winning and there’s no big money on the table. At some point, if there’s some turmoil and there’s money on the table, that could change. I will not be shocked to see a resolution one way or the other for all three in the next week or two. Can’t have it hanging over them.

It’s the same as it was last season. Certainly thought it was a possibility. And if Trent runs this doesn’t happen. He cost LFC the points today. Good thing we have a cushion though, but LFC simply HAVE to win their home games from now on

Arsenal spent a ton of money. It’s on them if they spent it poorly

If you didn’t look at a table and said that a team missed their top target, and their only incoming has barely played you’d say it was a terrible window. Stop. LFC have done well in spite of a bad window. Not the opposite. You can’t call it a good window

He has a magical right foot. He really has been better defensively most of the year. But he’s a right back. They’ll never win or lose based on solely his performance if they’re a good team (and he doesn’t give away stupid fouls ala Robertson right now). I’m all for paying him well and keeping him. I am not for keeping someone who wants to leave. I am also not going to pay a right back like a striker or attacker should get paid. It’s just not in the budget.

No one pays your third line center who is good on draws and PKs like your top line winger

What victim game am I playing?
This is what you posted yesterday after I mentioned Arsenal having a horrible transfer window, so you get horrible results...

LFC had a horrible window. They are doing okay.

You're trying to make a 360 and make it all about Liverpool when my original post had nothing to do with LFC. You can turn your attention back to post #253 to know what my argument is. You're trying to make everything about Liverpool by playing victim and I already discussed that my club has had horrible windows when you can't close out two EPL titles you were winning the majority for.

Arsenal did not have a horrible window. LFC had a horrible window
when you can't close out two EPL titles you were winning the majority for.
When was Arsenal’s last title again? When was the last time Arsenal went over 90 points?

Yes except when it comes to game like this and the CL final when he is lazy and cannot complete simple passes. TAA is a very weird player, he can have some spectacular games and horrible ones the next week. Consistency is the huge problem with him, too many bad games in key moments. Not to mention they are offering him top wages for a RB. If he was at Arsenal and dropped a stinker like today in a final you would be very frustrated against and ignore all the games he was fabulous. It's also not a rare occurence, it happen way too often and more often than not in important games, especially for a player with his status and ego, this is quite frustrating.
