So with Ugarte and Bruno back for the Liverpool game, I expect either 0-0 or 10-0 for Liverpool.
United's midfield isn't physical either. Hasn't been since...I can't even remember when.Bruno red card again? Maybe he can be petulant while Liverool run by him.
We saw with Newcastle against Liverpool. Their midfield is physical and they’re making other teams work. Something United don’t want to do at times
Developing players is a little difficult when so many of them are very experienced. That's the key difference in United vs other big rebuilding jobs. There isn't very much there to develop, quite a few of these players are old. We didn't have any older key players that had to be gotten rid of due to performance.I don’t see any track record of either at the top level at United. Amorim can develop players somewhat, but that also takes time and a structure.
Somewhat ironically, Ruud was the only one who played them together and they looked good. Granted the opposition was even worse than United then.I mean Casemiro was physical at one point. Ugarte is.
There’s plenty of older players. But they do have a lot of younger ones too. The Dane forward is 21. Mainoo. The Garnarcho kid (who I think is overrated). De Ligt and Martinez aren’t at their primes. Yoro. Amad. Ugarte. Antony (jokes). Dalot.Developing players is a little difficult when so many of them are very experienced. That's the key difference in United vs other big rebuilding jobs. Ideally played on the right where he actually showed improvement last season, but he's absolute shite on the left. The few minute Shaw got to play this season there was a giant improvement. There’s plenty of older players. But they do have a lot of younger ones too. The Dane forward is 21. Mainoo. I mean there’s some younger players to develop. The issue will again be they were bought for a past manager. Or a different scouting group.
They can jettison some of the old players but most of the squad is closer to the 24-26 range than people think
The question I still have is if they had fired the bald fraud (which they wanted) who were they getting? They spoke with a few and were likely rejected. So what difference does Southgate make?
LOL. For me the tipping point is at 15 pts from 2nd place!Ok now we've reached the point where not winning the league would be bottling it.
Amorim just got there and didn't have a window yet, honestly Man Utd is best off staying the course at this point.. Tottenham isn't built to do anything else.Amorim just said in the post match discussion that he will not change his idea (3-4-3). So there’s that.
Him and Ange need to have some beers
Angeball was great until you think about things like physical fatigue and squad management and the strength of other teams and a few other things mateAmorim just got there and didn't have a window yet, honestly Man Utd is best off staying the course at this point.. United ruined our season last year and can certainly do it again. Just worried about Sunday for now. LFC has a very tough January, and we need to add one more player this month. Getting close to bottle territory, but also the teams behind them are kind of in the territory when LFC need to implode and/or they need to have club best PPG rest of season to get up there. Still early though. If we get to February with the cushion and win game in hand, I will be singing from the rooftops.Ok now we've reached the point where not winning the league would be bottling it.
Was Angeball great? Angeball has barely been good since they did a lap of honor with their families after they and refs beat 9 man LFC last November. And they will still win some games that they shouldn't because they are so goofy, but from a management perspective only ETH MW3 was worse than them by my viewing.Angeball was great until you think about things like physical fatigue and squad management and the strength of other teams and a few other things mate
I get that. He also can’t be stupid enough to think that midfield setup he started with was doing anything other than getting smashed today. If he is, or won’t change, and the players just have to figure it out, it’s not going to work.Amorim just got there and didn't have a window yet, honestly Man Utd is best off staying the course at this point.. Also, the biggest issue with Angeball so far has been an absolute unwillingness to even think about changing how they're playing inside a game to just see the result out. It hasn't really been about how he's set up the team for the most part.Angeball was great until you think about things like physical fatigue and squad management and the strength of other teams and a few other things mate
I don't know anyone. The sad part is did any United fan actually think they'd get a result today?
The brief minutes United got from Shaw, made him look like he fit.Does any player at United fit the 3-4-3 well?
They just look uncomfortable and not buying into it.
