Villas plan on defending Salah is just to hang on and pray.
I mean if the ref keeps letting them…

I thought the Scot has been playing well

Maybe after 70 or so
Villa has a ton of running power in that engine and that McGinn sub is only going to help them out. We need to get more athleticism on

Kelleher should be starting for someone. I’ll say it again
We saw two saves showing why he is the best backup in the leagues then we saw why he is still a back up.

But seriously. Maybe they sell Alisson for the FFP gods and run with Mamardashvili and Kelleher

Barcelona
Emery made a big mess of Villa's tactics tonight. It's not like Liverpool is a team who's not comfortable in possession ...

I love McGinn but damn you wouldn't need to use a lot of makeup to turn him into Sloth from the Goonies

Weirdly I wasn’t a fan of how Slot finished the game out; when usually that’s been a strength. Today reminded me of how Klopp would finish a game out. Especially with the subs (which I was not a fan of). I am glad we are more willing to take the air out of the ball now when needed though

Then and there
Rodri is WC, but this club has more problems than just him. It's an old squad with very little depth. Now, they can't cheat because all eyes are on their business transactions, so they can't make fake revenue streams anymore to buy top-quality talent.

Their thinking must be, that with so many games these days, teams need to be able to register 30+ senior player squads. And I wouldn't bet against them getting their wish in the near future.

I have a feeling Pep won't stay beyond this season.
That has nothing to do with Rodri going to a team that openly snubbed him

I’d be doing backflips if Rodri left Man City to go abroad but to go to Madrid that would be bitchassness of the highest degree

Thats what I thought a season ago too. Now I wouldnt be surprised if he hangs on another. At this point who even knows. May just be waiting for the legal hammer to drop to bail

Jones Gravenberch Szoboszlai midfield vs City after the international break

Would love if they can get Diogo healthy for that but might be too soon.

Would be crazy if Trent misses out on that fixture again for like the fourth season in a row

It will be water under the bridge come next summer.

Ancelotti will be gone, Modric will be gone, Tchouameni likely too, Kroos already left. Vini has learned some humility. Laporta loves signing good players. It makes sense for Rodri too, he will be 29 next summer, so it would be his last big move.

And it will still be bitchassness.

Salah turned down a move to Madrid because he wouldn’t play with Ramos. Guess not everyone is built like that
