Not really, they've had such an easy run so far in the season. The toughest match they have played to this date was at the Emirates against a depleted Arsenal squad. They still have many of the big six on the road.

They haven't stumbled. They had that one down year and people acting like this isn't continuity. Still the team to beat

That looked like an obvious DOGSO red but it looked like the ref just said no foul.

Thankfully Nunez buried it so we don't have to hear about it for a million years.
I think ref called play on which was the correct decision. Then, as Darwin scored, the red is rescinded.

Interestingly enough, even if the referee said it was a foul and played advantage, the very fact that he played advantage would have reduced it to a yellow.
Did he? It didn’t look like he called it. Broadcast seemed to say he didn’t but I’m also on my phone

They’re at a different level. Whether it is the new manager and a change or whatever. They’re different.

The ref actually indicated no foul by waving both his arms across (similar to a safe motion in baseball).

If a player is called for a DOGSO foul but the referee plays advantage, the DOGSO red is automatically downgraded to a yellow.

In this case, no foul was called, no advantage was played, and thus no yellow was issued.

It's fair enough to say they've had a boost, but they were in it all year last year too. My point is they never stopped being in it. They just had a hangover year

It’s also still really early. Gotta go away to City. Have to stay healthy (or at least somewhat). Probably could stand to add a player or two the winter window. Getting through the CL early would do wonders.

The inevitable January run from city will make things interesting. They need a DM tho either pep adjusts to life without Rodri or they bring in a replacement. Barca can spare frenkie

I guess. Some of the wheels had come off. Midfield was not like this. Fullbacks all over. They weren’t a bad side, sure, lot of good players, but by the time it was done with Klopp a lot of the plot was lost

They’ll buy the guy Liverpool had wanted for cheap or I’ll eat my hat

Zubi or Varela? Zubi wouldn’t be smart to go to city because once Rodri comes back he won’t see much action. Varela could be the long term replacement

Haha, serves me right for even thinking an English ref got it right in a difficult situation

Zubi. Even if Rodri comes back, I think Pep finds a way to make it work with good quality midfielders. He would still play a ton. Some of those other midfielders might not be around forever

Livepool's kinda the masters of getting top players for cheap.

But City have depth to draw on, I wouldn't lose sleep over them recovering one way or the other

LFC are going to need to put Szoboszlai on for Alexis at some point to deal with Villa’s running
