I'm glad Ange didn't take them off in the end but it doesn't change the fact Johnson and Solanke were bad that first half.

Enzo and Caicedo didn't work last season either, and it seemed like Maresca thought he could make it work, and it still doesn't.

I wouldn't have thought that Reece James ends up playing LB when he returned from injury.

I thought Gusto would be dropped or substituting with him. Of course since Chelsea plays basically two different lineups in PL and in Europe, who knows how long this arrangement lasts and who plays where come springtime.

Im only half watching but the commentators were saying the same about the first, that it's been kind of ugly to watch. For my half-watching it's perfect though bc anytime I look over there's someone picking off a pass and bolting towards goal with tonnes of space
