Had the strangest dream last night...Kings won the Stanley Cup, Kings and the other team (dream wasn't so kind to let me know who the opponent was) did the whole handshake line for an extra long time, and then...nothing. No Stanley Cup presentation, no parading around with the Stanley Cup, nothing...just go home.

Now a lot of you know what we Canes fans have known for a couple years. Honestly though, we were unsure when we traded for him and Buffalo fans told us how underrated he was so it wasn't until we saw him play that we realized how good he was. Most people who didn't see much of Buffalo and Carolina these past 3-4 years really don't know how good Sekera is. I remember on the trade forum some people talking about how LA gave up way too much for Sekera, but my view was the Kings weren't giving up too much at all. Giving up a prospect who may or may not contribute any time soon and a late first round pick isn't that much for a team that is in a win now mode.
Glad he went to LA as I already root for you guys as Williams was one of my favorite players when he was in Carolina. Hopefully you guys keep up your winning ways.
LA should keep prank call all the flames rooms at like 2am to ensure they are tired.

Happy you posted here again for a few reasons. One it is always good to get the opinion of passionate/informed fans from other teams and in this case the reminder is welcomed. I was surprised to see people here complaining about Sekera's game when he first got here. Not allot of us but some of us saw his game as static and it did take him one or two games to get used to our system but most of us could see how exceptionally his balance and skating was right off the bat and his vision seemed great too. After getting to watch the way he steps up and moves the game along at times makes him a nice little upgrade over Voynov and the way he skates makes me want to keep him long term. I hope we can add a year or two on his term and get him signed under his $5mper wants.
Guy really is stepping up to our high level of play and higher level of expectations. So far so very good.
