Is it truly to early to start this type of discussion? What do you guys think? Who are the favorites next year for the Calder? Will it be a currently drafted player? Or do any of the '25 draftees expect to hit the ice right away and take a run at this thing?

Let's hear it! This discussion will be fun to look at this time next year! Are we setting up for another "Epic" battle like this years class?

Demidov
Nikishin
Schaefer
Hagens
Sennecke

Who is your favorite?

Oh boy...🔒
No need for a lock as long as people can talk about prospects and who they think will enter the league next year and have a solid season. Very few '25 guys will play in the show, but I could see Hagens and Schaefer being there.

The real question is who are we most excited to get started in the show. I keep hearing about Nikishin. Will be interesting to see him on Carolina's back end. Good team to start with. Could help him make a run at the fabled rookie trophy.

Any fans of other teams expecting a rookie next year that will play a prominent role and threaten?

Kind of hard to start discussing when we don't know where half of the players named will end up.

If we started one for last season in January of 23 we would have said Bedard regardless of where he ended up.

Hagens in Chicago, San Jose, Anaheim Nashville or Buffalo could challenge.

Schaefer in San Jose would be pretty scary.

I could be wrong. But I don't see Schaefer playing in the NHL next season. He missed way to many game in the junior. 70% he goes back to the junior for one more year. He is also only 17 years old.

Top 3 should be Demidov. Nikishin and Sennecke. You can add a top 10 prospect from the 2022-2023 draft.
