I'm not sure which of Hutson or Celebrini is going to come out of tonight looking better, but I am willing to bet there will be a ton of drama, so I predict 3 points for someone and enormous amounts of chest beating and/or angst on this thread after :)

Will Smith?

I've all but conceded as a Habs fan that Celebrini is gonna win it this year. Not because Hutson isn't awesome rather Celebrini is just that good.

One thing I must say about Hutson is that it's impressive that he'll likely finish about 10th among all NHL defenceman in scoring. How can you NOT be impressed by that accomplishment for a rookie?
Celebrini will likely finish somewhere around 80th among all NHL forwards.
In my mind Hutson gets bonus pts because he's handicapped because he's a defenceman and thus doesn't get the scoring opportunities that a fwd does.

When Michkov at his best he's the most dominant U21 player in the league. He already had a few games where he owned opponents like few could. But as I expected he has endurance problems. He never played more than 75 games/season, and it was 5 years ago in the MHL + international games. And he added too much weight before the season, which made his endurance problems even bigger.
I was thinking about this the toehr day and it reminded me to look it up and yes when he's on his best he is very good. He also plays with better players but elt's leave that aside.

Here are the breakdown of games they record a point in.

Michkov 26-57
Celebrini 29-47
Hutson 32-58.

Clearly both Hutson and Celebrini are more consistent in their scoring for what it's worth.

Michkov is still probably 4th in the race behind these 2 and Wolf.

Lol do you mean Michkov plays with better players than Celebrini? Really?

And I didn't mean consistency, I meant their best games.

A little early to start the chest thumping considering he's tied with a dman in points and still well behind Celebrini in pts/gp.
What about on a per 60 basis? Considering celebrini gets a good bit more minutes per game.

Edit: Michkov was 0.03 pts/60 behind celebrini before the game tonight. He’s certainly ahead now.

He's supposed to score more goals, he's a forward lol.
Hutson might as well be a forward since he can’t play defense
