I want to be unbiased...

But I can't

Mannnnn…. It’s times like this that I wish this board had more than 6 flames fans. How are we supposed to compete with the screeching habs hoard? As the saying goes, in Montreal, the habs are more important than Jesus Christ himself. If anybody bashes Hudson, they might as well be heathens.

Anyways, wolf had another great game. Absolute black hole offensively though so he’s probably not winning the Calder however.

We put our trust in God. God puts his trust in Lane Hutson.

I'm honestly surprised more DET fans aren't advocating for Edvinsson as being more deserving than Hutson. He's been a monster this year.

I know which one would be more impactful in meaningful playoff games. Hutson's 2nd percentile defense is... something.
He's not eligible and even if he were he's not the type of guy who would be receiving top 3 Calder votes.

Torts was never going to allow Michkov the minutes the other rookies are getting. He never had a chance to win the Calder playing for a dinosaur
I saw the last game, he looks comfortable out there, some kind of good improvement in general. He's gonna be a beauty when the Flyers finally get rid of Torts.

As a Habs fan I think Dustin Wolf should win. No other player in the race is currently a key player at a main position (1st line F or D, starling G) as much as Wolf is. As good as Michkov, Celebrini and Hutson are, they are still extremely inconsistent at 5v5 and prone to breakdown games.

Not yet. But that guy’s numbers have been really good lately. If he can get more starts and stay hot he has a really good chance. 5th in save percentage is pretty awesome for a rookie.
I think it is safe to say that Wolf is the starter now, he's started 9 of 12 games since Christmas and 2 of Vladar's 3 starts were in back-to-backs and that other start was back on Jan 2.

As a Habs fan I have no issues with Wolf being the front runner right now either.

Still have our boi Hutson at 1st but Wolf is right behind him, and could pass him in a really near future, unless Hutson pick up his pace

His numbers lately are pretty incredible.

I might be in the minority on this but I think a strong goalie is the most important thing a team can have. It's going to be interesting to see how he handles it in the second half.

I wouldn't say so at this point. Not enough games. But if Wolf racks up starts in the 2nd half and maintains his level of play, then it's a different story.
