Gotta love the haters coming in on that one night where Hutson is having a bad game.

Definitely was not a good one, but honestly the Habs missed so many chances to score tonight. The game could have ended 8-7.

It was an open game and Hutson can benefit from those, but he will also get exposed against talented teams. At least for now. It's a good learning experience for the future.

Wolf stole that game
Wolf has been amazing this year. He’s not just having a great rookie year - he’s a top -10 goalie. That said, he doesn’t play enough games to have a real shot at the Calder. He’s played barely over 50% of the Flames minutes. That’s ideal for his development and the right approach by the Flames to prevent long-term injuries, but not great for winning the Calder.

It's looking like he'll be starting moving forward. He's started 7/10 since Xmas and 2/3 of Vladar's starts were in back-to-backs.

I Liking Hutson more. Habs are winning more games with Hutson on the ice.
Wolf is second for me. These players have more impact for their teams then the other rookies in the list

Every player has a rough game. Woll was amazing tonight.

I didn't think Hutson was that bad. But he wasn't great either.

I thought it was his worst game of the season. He made some bad decisions, he was running around in his own zone on a few plays, which he normally doesn't do and he got beat in one on one situations, which, again, he normally doesn't.

One wonders if other coaches will take note of what Toronto did to him?

I don't think Toronto "did" anything to him. I think he did it to himself. It was his worst game of the season, but I didn't see it as some team "exposing" a weakness. I saw it as him playing poorly.

Current Pace

Hutson
82 GP 5g 62 a 68 pts -16

Michkov
80GP 25G 59Pts -20

Celebrini
70GP 25G 60pts -29
80gp 29G 69pts -33 (Prorated to same as Michkov)

Wolf

Tough to pro rate goalies
70% of Calgarys remaining starts would give him 50 gp (currently at 25)
Double his current stats. 2 shutouts to 4. .917/2.50 gaa stays relatively the same. Hes currently 16-7-2 so 32-14-4.
50GP. 2.50 GAA .917 SV% (Good for 5th in the league!). 32 wins.

Looking purely at the numbers Hutsons and Wolfs seasons look most impressive. At this point it would take some serious convincing to explain why those two aren't having the best rookie seasons so far.

Was at the game in Winnipeg last night to witness Wolf goalie us. The kid looked amazing in net and feels like the real deal that’s for sure.

I realize Calder races are fun and feel important but its not about he award its really about having a young franchise changing asset for years. As a Jets fan it can either be like Hawerchuk or Selanne which was gold or it can be like other illustrious Calder winners we have had play for us like Steve Mason or Tyler Myers where its more like a lump of coal.

Good luck all

I'm going to guess that Hutson having his worst game of the season after playing like a superstar for an extended stretch wasn't because Toronto cracked the code on him but because Hutson just had a really bad game.
