So are you. Thinking Hutson actually has a chance in this even if he does what you hope. No, he only has a chance if Celebrini gets injured again.

And when Celebrini runs away with the Calder because he's clearly the best rookie in this class, you can enjoy your 60+ point playoff appearance which is more important anyway.
Hutson going to win this in a landslide and I’m going to remind you everyday.

Well Hutson's on ice shooting percentage is 4th out of 55 D-men that have played 50+ minutes on the PP. Sometimes everything just goes your way.

However, I'm not seeing the same talent level there as I am for Celebrini.

Feels like Hutson is riding a bit of a hot streak and is likely to cool off over the season rather than continue or gain on his current scoring pace.
Nonsense. Tell me you don’t watch Hutson without telling me you don’t watch Hutson.

if a 62oa 18 year old center was playing like celebrini people would be even more impressed. Not the least reason for which is they would wonder why the f*** a player that can drive an entire team, including the team that defenseman was on, went 62oa.

thing about 1oas ... they go to one of the worst teams in the league.
Well Hutson did go to a team who had the 1 oa pick.

Some sort of Hungarian hunting dog? O-kay?

Well the Habs haven't been with their top PP sniper Patrik Laine for most of the season so there's that.

It's so funny. Whenever trade talks roll around everyone on the Main Boards keep screaming that the Habs roster is absolute garbage. And whenever Calder talk rolls around it's unfair to Celebrini and Michkov because the Habs roster is Over Powered.

Pick a lane boys, pick a lane.
I picked my Lane. It’s Hutson by a mile.

Not at all and like I said before he is having a fine season, but he is the type of guy who is going to have problems in the playoffs and honestly my biggest beef is with the wild and small number of Hab fans, such as yourself that go overboard on everything Habs.

Given how much internet "ink" has been propagated by this group of Hab fans on their recent prospects/young guys, one would be surprised to find you that not only have they not made the playoffs in a while but they haven't won the SC yet.

But like I said it's a small subset and I think many Hab fans are embarrassed by their overt homerism.

All one has to do is to go to any potential Habs player being traded adn how much Hab fans value literally everyone exponetially...it just doesn't add up.

that’s the last thing people have to hang on is that he’ll struggle in the playoffs. It is embarrassing when my fellow Habs fans lose their minds but it’s also embarrassing at how you guys will move the goalposts constantly so discredit him and then get proven wrong.

I'm a habs fan, and I cringe reading some of the stuffs other habs fans have written here
Yeah...sometimes people write cringeworthy stuff on here....what else is new. For sure Ide be super happy if Hutson wins the calder as a habs fan but there are 2 or 3 other players in the race and even if hutson doesn't win it in the end, we still got a steal and that's a huge win for me!

No moving the goalposts here, heavy teams always have certain advantages in the playoffs and smaller Dmen like girard for instance are at greater risk of being less impactful.

I'm also pretty consistent in my observations and use of stats and have had to point out obvious misuse like Laine coming back on a PP tear since December second.

Celebrini and hutson have been separating from the pack here for a couple of weeks and Michkov has really dropped off, it's a 2man race but seasons have highs and lows and Montreal is on a high right now some lows will come.

That being said San Jose is a much weaker team and Celebrini is needs to continue his strong play to hold off this surge by Hutson so it will be an interesting back half here but it's only 2 guys right now.

100% agreed. I've been saying it for the last few weeks. It's not necessary to be overconfident with Lane Hutson and there is just so much hockey left to be played. We can cheer for our guy without dissing on others like Celebrini and Michkov or Wolf, who are all great players. Celebrini is legit going to be a star in this league. What Hutson, Celebrini and Michkov all have in common: they all brought excitement back to their respective team and city.

You're trying way too hard

Person you're replying to is moving the goalposts pretty much every day. It's pretty hilarious at this point

They said Hutson wouldnt be big enough for the NHL. He proved them wrong. Now their saying he's too small for the playoffs....Seeing him play every game so far...I think he will even be better during the playoffs. Sure size is a huge plus, but its not everything. Skill, talent, motivation, the right mind set and hockey IQ can mitigate the disadvantages of being on the smaller end of size. Martin Saint Louis and others have proved that in the past.

your logic isn’t wrong and usually right. It’s just annoying hearing the constant shift starting with

“He won’t be able to handle the physicality/speed at the nhl level too small”

Then when he proves himself it becomes

“He won’t be able to handle himself against other teams top players/competion”

And then after that

“he will struggle with playoff hockey.

I’m a firm believer that there are exceptions to the rule and players as good as Hutson just figure it out. I hate to go there but I bet you’ve heard it before with Hughes. These players adapt and they don’t just figure it out. They thrive

TL;DR

You're a known hater and nobody take seriously whatever you said

All you ever did in this thread was to find problem with the player, and when you were proven wrong, you went out there to find something else, in a cycle of pure pettiness.

We rejoice because we finally have a player that is pretty much elite. What, we can't have a bit of fun?
Not my problem if your team suck. Our own team was at the bottom in the barrel for the last 3 years, I'll celebrate small victories here and there, thank you very much.

Hutson for the Calder, deal with it

And if you're butthurt because of it, either use vaseline our read another thread.
