Dustin Wolf needs to be in this discussion as of today. He's pulled a mediocre team, whose top two scorers are defensemen pacing for around 50 points this year, with expectations of being on the outside looking in, into the playoff race, and only a couple of points out of the division lead.

He's a goalie, so he won't win it while other legitimate options exist, but he needs to be in the conversation.

He will be considered if he plays more than 40gp. He's been terrific so far, but only playing half of his team's games won't be enough to be seriously considered. That being said, Calgary is doing the right thing and they shouldn't put too much pressure on him. Calder doesn't mean much after all

Smith is also starting to creep into the discussion, 3 straight 2 point games. After starting the year 0 for 8 he now has 10 points in 13 games.

He's really impressive. Slow start but he's gonna be an offensive force for sure

Also feels like all his goals and points are just great plays by him like 90% of the time

That’s true. Though funny enough Celebrini has two points today so he keeps rolling.

I’m sure there will be back and forth between Celebrini and Michkov but I feel Celebrini has surpassed him now as of today.

Celebrini tying Michkov for the goals lead does probably push him into the lead. Be curious to see though if he can sustain this level of production as teams start to game plan for him more. He’s on an absolute heater right now though.

Wolf will probably be at 50 games by the end of the year, especially if Vladar gets traded.
I think Wolf's numbers might start to decrease though (I mean he's currently like top 5 in every category so it is still going to be impressive), Flames are barely scoring and Wolf HAS to play his balls off to win games. I think it'll be just too much for him over a full season. Team has played some bad defence the past couple games.

If Celebrini can keep this play up (and improve) I think it's his, he's been electric so far.
