GDT: ENEMIES OF JERKDOM IN RALEIGH STILL HAVEN'T LEFT

I'm just going to put this out there....

I am loving how many people across HFB and hockey are so adamant that the Canes just aren't very good this year. Look at that thread about who is coming back from down 1-3 and its littered with people thinking its only a matter of time before the Caps do because the Canes aren't good.

Reminding me a lot of 2006. If this means we just become another one of the worst teams to ever win the Cup, f*** em, I'll take it. I'd rather win with our boring low talent tam than excitedly lose with theirs.

Personally, none of the banter about the Hurricanes phases me but It does seem amplified this year. I mean if it’s goals they want Canes aren’t exactly slouching.

We’re 9 months removed from this entire board freaking out about how we’re not that good this year and we’ll miss the playoffs, and we’re like 3 months removed from this entire board saying the same thing. It’s fine. We’re not that good, in the sense that we’re probably underdogs to either team on the other side.

The good news is, aside from maybe Dallas, I don’t see any unbeatable juggernauts the rest of the way. So maybe this is the year that a team that’s “not that good” wins the Cup. I’d take it.

Need to decide who is going to give us the sacrificial eyeball and get Fast back on the ice for the finals

Not sure why we're talking offer sheet when we have the resources for a good ole fashion trade. OS seems like a waste.
I'm thinking of players on bad teams where the team won't trade them.

Peterka could think Buffalo isn't close to competing and wants to leave but Buffalo has no reason to trade him.

Enter the offer sheet.

I mean, I'm not counting out the Caps. If they win the next game, and that's certainly a possibility, it could be enough to spring them to a couple wins in a row.

At this point, I'd take not getting swept in the Conference Finals. Get to the Cup Finals and I'm gravy.
