He could have said anything like “we’ll evaluate everything in the next few weeks and gear up for an important offseason”. But really doesn’t matter.

No, because what is the first thing that will be written. "It sure doesn't sound like Berube wants Marner or Tavares back, deflecting the question to Treliving."

Don't be fooled. This whole thing is scripted. Tre, Pelley and Berube met in a boardroom to go over what to say. We aren't getting any answers on Marner and Tavares yet.

I think it's safe to say Marner will be gone, and Tavares will be gone unless it is a ridiculously low amount (by that, I mean the $5M range).

Berube basically just said that the "difference" in game 7 was short breakdown in period 2.

That the reason they lost was they didn't play with structure.

At the end he got out of there like the room was on fire.

Which suggests to me he was just begrudgingly following the talking points MLSE laid out for everyone talking to the media: "Everything's fine, everyone is great, love these guys, no problems here, we'll be back better next year", etc. etc. etc.

On a related note I expect MLSE to announce Shanahan's departure today or within days at the latest. They know the fanbase is raving mad and so he'll be the sacrificial lamb to appease the masses demand for change and to sell us on the idea that next year will be different.

Until you come to terms that msle neuters everyone, the better you'll be. They're not gonna hire keyboard style warriors who say what they want whenever they want and if they do, they put in a clause in there and turn ya into a robot.
