Even no-name schools in the US are outrageously priced.
How many stories do we hear about Americans being hundreds of thousand in debt for school, for garbage degrees? It's a huge problem in the USofA. From the reports, these people will die owing these fees/expenses.
A niece in Canada did a masters in Marine Biology and never worked a day in the summer, took out loans and grants and at the end owed ~ $80k. Her parents paid it off.
My kids Bachelors, working part-time ended up owing less than $20k (Commerce, Computer Science, English).
Over 50 years of working full time in some of the largest employers in Canada, and working with managers (hiring) not one manager ever said, "Oh, just a Canadian degree."
Sorry for the rant, but researched smaller colleges many years ago for athletic scholarships and their fees were 5 times the amount of Top Canadian schools. Some of them seemed more like Community colleges but had a larger student body.
I will say, one smaller University in Tampa (Super Y Tournament) had a better stadium than the Calgary Stampeders. Okay, okay, not difficult!!!
