GDT: End of season media availability - Pelley speaking Friday at 1PM EST

Signing Ekblad would be a coup and really solidify this d-core. He's only 29 shoots right. But what will he ask? I'd sacrifice Rielly for a start.

McCabe-Tanev
Benoit-Ekblad
OEL-Carlo

All over 6' and can play a playoff brand of defence.
If Ekblad comes, Reilly is gone. Most likely three way between NJ and Nucks for picks.

I guess history might repeat itself this July with Marchand, Ekblad and Bennett, lol
Get the old gang together again. Florida North would be just fine by me.

I think they were all Leaf fans growing up too judging by Marchand's comments and the birthplaces of Ekblad and Bennett.

Truth be told...I never went to an Ivy League school. Just a state school in Boston. Nothing more.

Sorry...My Dude.
We're the Ivy with the highest acceptance rate, lowest graduation rate and highest suicide rate.

So we got that going for us?

EDIT: Also, we are one of the very few universities in America where hockey actually is the #1 sport. For real. Lynah is not a fun place to play for opponents. Pretty sure I threw a fish or something at an opposing goaltender once but I was beyond wasted so I could have thrown a sex toy for all I know.

B.U. / Boston College are big hockey schools. I never attended their games. Only Leafs vs Bruins (circa 99-02). Good times.

Holy shit. I just looked up what Cornell costs now.

My wife and I are both alumni but no way in shit is that moving to the next generation. f*** me.
Andy Bernard?

Hopefully your children can earn some academic scholership money if they choose to follow in your footprints.

I hate paying for Canadian University, nevermind the cost of going to a Ivy League or a private University like Vandy.

Told my kids that if they are unsure of what to major in Uni or do in life or want to pursue a degree that ends with Studies. They are going to trades school and that’s the end of it.

The moment I had a child I vowed to do everything I could to help them not make the same mistakes I made.

Going to Cornell, other than being fortunate enough to have met my wife there, was a mistake. The details are personal.

Even no-name schools in the US are outrageously priced.
How many stories do we hear about Americans being hundreds of thousand in debt for school, for garbage degrees? It's a huge problem in the USofA. From the reports, these people will die owing these fees/expenses.

A niece in Canada did a masters in Marine Biology and never worked a day in the summer, took out loans and grants and at the end owed ~ $80k. Her parents paid it off.

My kids Bachelors, working part-time ended up owing less than $20k (Commerce, Computer Science, English).

Over 50 years of working full time in some of the largest employers in Canada, and working with managers (hiring) not one manager ever said, "Oh, just a Canadian degree."

Sorry for the rant, but researched smaller colleges many years ago for athletic scholarships and their fees were 5 times the amount of Top Canadian schools. Some of them seemed more like Community colleges but had a larger student body.

I will say, one smaller University in Tampa (Super Y Tournament) had a better stadium than the Calgary Stampeders. Okay, okay, not difficult!!!

Yeah I have a lot to say here, mostly in agreement, but it is my fault that this thread went off-topic so I'll bow out of it for now.

Probably the Luksusowa influencing my reply ...

If anyone is interested, have tried many Vodka's and find the Luksusowa potato vodka a great value.

Haven't spent more than $70 on a bottle of vodka, so if there a niche vodka I wouldn't have tried it.

Yes, Kirkland is okay.

Got one bottle in BC, a smaller distiller in the interior north, and ended up using it as a cleaner. Don't believe everything you read in reviews ...
