End of eras, how many Nords/Jets/Whalers still around

This thread is basically to discuss the end of eras, and to maybe make a complete list of just how many guys are still in the NHL that suited up for either the Whalers, Jets, or Nordiques. You might be surprised at just how few remain, and in the next 3-4 years you'll see an even more dramatic decline.

Another end of era: When Messier retired in 2004, he was the last remaining NHLer to play in the 70's, as well as the last to play in the WHA. Also he might have been the last to wear the old Winn-Well helmet.

Two more to add to the Quebec list...

Milan Hejduk and Wade Belak. While neither ever played a game for the Nordiques franchise when it was still in Quebec City, they were part of the team's final draft in 1994 before relocating to Denver. Hejduk was the 87th overall pick, and Belak was the 12th.

I guess you could always technically add Eric Lindros to the list, seeing as how he was originally a Nordiques pick, but I won't go there... haha

Also, add Aaron Ward to the list for the Jets, as he was their first round pick (5th overall) in 1991.

What about the Jets still in Winnipeg instead of Phoenix? They never should have left in the first place. Hockey is a failure in Phoenix (not trying to start a flame war here but it's true).

You can also add Chris Drury and Tim Thomas, as they were drafted in 1994, Anson Carter (1992) and Manny Fernandez (1992) for Quebec.

With that said, Chad Kilger deserves a since he and Tverdovsky is what we got for Selanne and Marc Chouinard back in 96. Talk about throwing in the towel.
