I am shocked they did not trade him. It was sort obvious he was not going to stay with the organization
Might the Oilers sign Boeser? Oilers lose to Kings in round one and there will be changes for sure. Boeser on McDavid’s wing might score 50 and be the piece they need to win a Cup!I'd say it's pretty wild the Oilers single-handedly ruined the Canucks franchise by eliminating them in the playoffs last year.
Anyone that pays him 8 Million will end up like the Redwings. Slow scoring wingers that arent play drivers cannot make that much on competitve teams. I love watching Quinn Hughes play hockey so i usually watch Canucks games if they are on late. I literally never notice Boeser.Lol at this oilers fan, not a single knowledgeable canucks fan wanted Boeser back at the price he’s asking, all time great guy and all but he is s l o w and can’t generate on his own, good luck to the team paying him 8+
He might still not get 8M. That's his asking price based on his production - but that doesn't mean teams will be lining up to pay that price. It's still possible that free agency opens, and he has to settle for far less.Lol at this oilers fan, not a single knowledgeable canucks fan wanted Boeser back at the price he’s asking, all time great guy and all but he is s l o w and can’t generate on his own, good luck to the team paying him 8+
I could see it happening tbh as long as he is ok with staying in Canada.Might the Oilers sign Boeser? Oilers lose to Kings in round one and there will be changes for sure. Boeser on McDavid’s wing might score 50 and be the piece they need to win a Cup!
He’s never played a full 82, although he basically did last year, that’s still only once. He’s only hit 30 goals once because he’s been injured every year.Good points minus the injury prone. This year he missed a few games due a concussion on an illegal hit. But otherwise the last 2 years he’s barely missed a game and still played 74 3 years ago.
not sure if Oilers have the cap money to sign Boeser at 8+ million for 7 years and be able to sign Bouchard, McDavid and others. Canucks with cap space dont want him for that term, what makes you think Oilers with little to no cap space will sign him?Might the Oilers sign Boeser? That is fine, while you sign Boeser, Canucks will be signing Ehlers.Jets could be a possibility. They seem to have an affinity for him. Theyve sniffed around over the years during trade season.
Swapsies. That is fine, while you sign Boeser, Canucks will be signing Ehlers.
Canucks signed a better Boeser in Debrusk for 5.5 million. Am sure they are doing the right thing and perhaps freeing up money to get what they need, a top line center. Chytil can be traded with picks to accommodate any trades for a top line center and free up additional cap space.I wonder what type of contract he will get.
I felt a 7x7 would be good but he turned down a 8x5 at 40 million so 2 more years with 9 extra million didn't seem amazing.
Curious if Canucks will be right or wrong on this.
He is not great defensively. He doesn't PK and in fact he can be a liability in the defensive zone. Not sure who made this up. He is a one dimensional scorer similar to Toffoli but he wants a bigger pay day.30 goal scorer who is great defensively ( according to Nucks fans ) should cost a bundle no? I’m gonna guess Chicago to run with Bedard at around 9 .
I feel like Boeser wants to go play in America and also think the Oilers would rather go big name shopping for a winger like MarnerMight the Oilers sign Boeser? It ain't easy getting a top line center.Canucks signed a better Boeser in Debrusk for 5.5 million. I don’t disagree with you . Last time I commented on him I was chastised for not recognizing his improved play away from the puck ( obviously you haven’t watched the last few years ; despite watching several Canuck games ) . So trying to come up with a valuation with that built in ( whether true or false ) . Maybe now that he’s leaving Vancouver fans will change their tune .He is not great defensively. He doesn't PK and in fact he can be a liability in the defensive zone. Not sure who made this up. He is a one dimensional scorer similar to Toffoli but he wants a bigger pay day.
That is definitely true. I just give him the benefit this year due to the illegal hit that the LA guy was suspended for. Almost every player in the league would get concussed after that hitHe’s never played a full 82, although he basically did last year, that’s still only once. He’s only hit 30 goals once because he’s been injured every year.
More like max years, max dollars.if Vancouver offered 8 years at $8mil per, he'd sign there. He'll get it from someone.I feel like Boeser wants to go play in America and also think the Oilers would rather go big name shopping for a winger like Marner
Well he won’t be getting 8 years unless it’s a sign and trade, but yes it appears Boeser’s camp wants to maximize the contract and I don’t blame him.More like max years, max dollars.if Vancouver offered 8 years at $8mil per, he'd sign there. He'll get it from someone.
He's smart, but he has terrible foot speed, especially in the starts and stops. He plays good passive defense because he is smart, he's decent and strong in stationary board battles and net front, but he's not good if he needs to skate, which for a lot of coaches is everything. The good defensively bit I think is mostly from his interceptions and breakups on the back check that stick out.He is not great defensively. He doesn't PK and in fact he can be a liability in the defensive zone. Not sure who made this up. He is a one dimensional scorer similar to Toffoli but he wants a bigger pay day.
