We are midway through the draft season for many of these kids and have had a chance to see them in the WJHC.

Ran tankathon once (I swear!)

These are likely to change....but this is where I am at today for top 16 lottery picks only!

1. Buffalo - James Hagens (C) - no brainer pick for a team in need of a Superstar forward. Fairly stacked with high end D in Dahlin, Power and Byram.
2. Montreal - Matthew Schaefer (LD) - Tempted to pick Misa in this spot as Habs desperately need a top 6 Centre. However Schaefer is just too good to pick here.
3. San Jose - Porter Martone (RW) - With Celebrini and Smith, the Sharks pick the monster winger in Martone. They would have loved Schaefer, but unfortunately they just miss out. Martone will be an amazing winger for Celebrini in the future.
4. Chicago - Michael Misa (C) - Hawks get there #2 centre behind Bedard. The top 4 of this draft are set.
5. Nashville - Anton Frondell (C)
6. Detroit - Victor Eklund (LW)
7. Anaheim - Logan Hensler (RD)
8. Seattle - Roger McQueen (C)
9. NYR - Caleb Desnoyers (C)
10. Isles - Malcolm Spence (LW)
11. Jackets - Jackson Smith (LD)
12. Philly - Radim Mrtka (RD)
13. Pitts - Justin Carbonneau (RW)
14. Blues - Kashawn Aitcheson (LD)
15. Utah - Blake Fiddler (RD)
16. Montreal - Carter Bear (C)

A Wings fan had a similar Tankathon experience, in his mock. I'm guessing it's just to unbelievable having your favorite team winning the lotto. Especially when there's no clear cut #1
