Imagine harboring hatred for Geno, of all pens lol

I mean... you don't REALLY have to imagine. It seems fairly common to me... even among the fanbase, media and arguably team itself. But maybe I'm a tad too sensitive IDK.

I generally think it's dumb too. But to be fair Malkin played with QUITE an edge (some would even say dirty) for much of his career. Frankly it's yet another reason I've thought highly of him. Dude has been at times this team's ONLY "enforcer." Though that's clearly not a fully-accurate term to describe it. Rat maybe?

Malkin was always Sugar Free Diet Ovechkin in terms of being a massive dick on the ice

He almost never started his beefs. But yeah, he has an "emotional" edge to his game. It's just like...... Barely a pest or rat, just stood up when no one else has the balls

Yes, many pens fans hate him. They walk among us,here...

I guess i should phrase it, imagine hating Geno for hitting a literal douchcanoe like Simmonds and for an OT goal that wasn't even a breakaway slapshot lol

Detroit fans still complain to this day about the handshake line controversy.

To be fair I'll NEVER forgive/forget NYR and WAS adopting the "if ya can't beat 'em injure 'em!" strategy. Though I mean... when it's league-sanctioned it's tough to blame them.

I could almost care about the handshake thing you know rah-rah 2-4-6-8 who do we appreciate good sportsmanship thing, but, after 15 years, let it go lol

It's a TRAVESTY for the entire f***ing league that we were robbed from seeing the talent flourish so we could instead see uncalled holding and CTE events

I liked when Caps fans would complain about us having Cooke. "What type of team employs Matt Cooke?!"

Ummm, you guys traded for him.

Capitals fans have very little room to talk when it comes to dirty play in general. Remember when Ovechkin blatantly went knee/knee on Gonchar then suddenly forgot how to speak English after the game when confronted about it by the media? And that isn't even touching on the 2018 series that eventually sent them to the Cup after filling a few IR slots at the Penguins' expense. f*** that team.

I'm surprised EK didn't bear a lifelong grudge to the Penguins after Matt Cooke stomped on his leg with his skate.

But I guess he got over it.
