Schief is getting close, reminded me a little of #10 (the old guys know who I'm talking about)

Trouba already better than Bogo who?

Pavs quietly very good

Good Joki, good Wheeler tonight

Thorbs really looked like an NHLér tonight

Hope Tangradi is benched for good.
Agreed on all points Sip. Wheeler had a rough first half of the game though. Trouba is already better than Bogo.

Missed most of the game but watched the 3rd period. See this is the team we all know and love, keep the foot on the gas, don't lay off it and good things will happen.

Play to other teams' scrambling and mistakes, take advantage and win games.

*EDIT* Thorburn also 1/1 for 100% in face off wins, like a boss! :D

TBH, if this is how our team plays without Kane, maybe it's time to trade him.

Does Paul Edmonds sound like he enjoyed calling his first Jet win?

BM should look up Wally Pipp. Just saying . Do us a favour 1290 .

Yeah I agree that Edmonds is much better on the radio pbp...

Buff was fun to watch tonight. That guy is a joy to watch when he's on his game...

Reporter: "How much did that Albert goal lift your bench"
Noel: "It lifted the bench a lot. Like 90%. Is that good?"

Didn't Edmonds do the Flyersgame? Edmonds better than Munz's WHL/SJHL voice!

Pav's has been very solid since sitting out a game a few weeks back.

Pretty sure it has to do with the rest he getting. Pavs can't handle 70+ games. Playing a quality high 50s or low 60s is the way to go. I give the coach credit for giving him more rest but it shouldn't have taken him 3 seasons to realize this.

This is the first year that Noel's had confidence in a back up.

But that's fine its not an either or. If Bogo settles into a solid 2nd pairing role all the better for us. Trouba will soon be the best d-man on the team, if not the best player. Hopefully one day in the not too distant future Morrissey gets into the discussion, and Scheifele becomes a legit # 2 C, and Petan comes along to push his way to the top. That is how a contender is going to be built. Its not going to happen by wishing and hoping that what we have had over the last few years will miraculously transform themselves into the Hawks.

Slowly perhaps , hopefully surely , we are seeing things progress.

Pavs has been better , more consistent too.

Trouba is almost scary good for 19 , have to temper the enthusiasm , at least ... a bit ... but WOW.

Scheifele has been better too , starting to see real glimpses. We know he will work hard , so that will never be an issue , like the progression after that stretch where not much was happening for him.

OJ has bounced back after a horrendous short season , seems like a good guy and sure the room is happy to have him produce as well.

Frolik is a real plus as a third liner , smart , dependable , still would like to see some PK but great trade.

Buff , Ladd , Little three of the big pieces are just that . Sure there are some hic ups but overall very positive.

If , when Wheeler and Kane start to kick it up a notch we should see a good run . Playoffs? probably not but when you add the prospects on the way , to what we are seeing that should be soon. Fingers crossed.

Taking time , but we do see we are progressing , don't we? I do .

I have commented on this a couple of times already…. but something very good is happening with our overall team defense. In the past 15 games, dating back to the beginning of Nov, we have held the opposition to 2 goals or less 10 times during regulation time. Some of this is due to Pavelec, but it's not only him….it's... dare I say it…on the coach and the system.
If we can keep this up, we're going to win a lot more games than we lose.

Something , or some things , are happening in a positive way , no doubt about it imo .
