Jets Give Rangers Trouba, win 5-2

What a game by the rookies, all three of them.

Thorbs, JOKI (2 goals!), Peluso, Buff, Gooch, PAVS has been VERY good the past few weeks, lots of good games out there tonight...

oh yeah, Albert too.

Shief had a very strong game. The kid has really turned it around the past 3 or 4 games. Looks much more stable on the skates and is even throwing a few hits!

Byfuglien probably should've been called on that interference leading to the eventual GWG, but **** it. We needed that.

What else can be said about Trouba. He's just a force out there.

Scheifele looked like a man.

One of the best games I've ever seen from Byfuglien. What he brings to the table you will not find in a single other play in this league... it's insane what he can pull off when he's invested in the game and moving his feet.

Hats off to Thornburn he made all of us look pretty stupid.

Pavs with a relatively quiet 35 save game, his stats continue to climb. Couple juicy rebounds but otherwise as solid as we can ask for.

And WHEELS off the schneid bud!! Who cares if it's an empty netter, he needed that.

Someone mentioned it earlier in the game thread about this team playing better with emotion and some jump... that's what we saw right there in the third period.

What a nice ending to an exciting game. Thorburn in for Kane and gets 2 assists right off the bat is just awesome. Albert first NHL goal on a breakaway, beauty. TROUBA is just the real deal, love his game, team player! Buff was a beast as well. Olli with 2 goals. Really liked peluso's energy. Just a very nice road win. Smiles all round.

Its hard to describe just how good Trouba is as a 19 year old. The kid has it all.

Honestly, I'm really happy with the effort this game. Wheeler still looks like crap, Ellerby didn't look too sharp this game (people really can't play next to Stuart) and Pavelec should have had the 2nd goal covered earlier (but DAMN he looked really sharp except for that goal). Apart from that, the team looked great.

And yes, I fully believe that Alberts is the next Lemieux.

Thorburn had a great game. That was a character win, with Scheifele starting to show what he can do and almost everything done outside the first line. Pavelec is really "on" right now, too.

Our last PP I liked Scheif moving the puck, he made some very good decisions. I just don't think Enstrom cuts it any more.

Ellerby and Stuart had a few they'd probably like to forget.
