He needs to spend the next year in Syracuse. He has a lot of potential but he's about as raw as it gets
Disagree. He's ready for the NHL but in a third pairing role that has stability. Signing another useless ass vet in that role is stupid. He's cheap and effective. Put Raddysh with him and bring in a top 4 defenseman, everybody is suddenly slotted where they should be.

The only "cheap fix" we can sort of run back is a veteran 3RD. Keep Raddysh in the top four, get a veteran to play PK but that's kind of why you have Cernak... ideally, a solid RHD defenseman to play top 4 brings this group together. I wouldn't mind a 2-3M guy like Cole again but preferably not. Raddysh is my dawg, I like him, but he'd be better on the bottom pairing.

I hear Brent Seabrook will hit free agency!

Lilleberg only really needs to work on his mobility to be a solid NHLer, and then see where it goes from there.

Anyone remember that goal that... Plekanec(?) scored against us in the playoffs in 2014, where he broke Gudas' ankles? That's probably going to happen against Lilleberg if he doesn't get better at his edge work.

Lilleberg played 21 mins against the Sharks, most on the entire team. Cooper must like him. A physical bottom pairing player, some solid hits and fights, I guess that's what they want from him.

Lol that was f***ing interference.
Disagree. Scheifele skated into him from behind, it was a reverse hit. Ref saw the same.

Coop on how much Lilleberg's game has grown in the last year:
"Again, experience, time in the league, knowing what he can and can't do, what he can get away with - the growth has been great. I'll tell ya, Brayden Schenn, that's ticking one off. I was a little like 'I don't know if this is out of your class,' but he hung in there, and brought the crowd to it's feet. But he's a pretty fearless kid. If he does make a mistake he just goes right back out there, doesn't change his demeanor, and tries to do better so you really like that attitude he has."

It looks like his been having a bounce back the last 5-6 games, after a bit of a rough start to the season.

A key thing that stood out to me last night is that he seems much more agile and relaxed.

Hockey Fights goes 67% Lile and 27% draw.. Schenn thought he'd be really cute flipping Lile's lid. Haaa. Absolutely love that hip check.
