Danault and Chandler Stevenson are two players I would be very happy if he became similar to.

it's impossible to know, in the SHL he played 127 games but his production wasn't overly impressive, yet in the AHL in 59 games total, his .64 ppg is impressive but could he have kept that up had he played say double that amount as injuries have gotten in the way a bit. He turns 23 this week so he's still young. For now just stay healthy and play your game, what that grows into over time we'll have to see. At least he has size, speed, skating and shot with a good work ethic and decent physical game.
Depends on his centre and whether he gets to play PP2. He's got a cannon and he's better than Anderson at reading the play. Could see Heineman get 50-55pts in his prime.
Heineman has more hockey smarts than Josh Anderson so I believe he has the upside to easily surpass Anderson's numbers.
Interesting the upside people have for Heineman but I will not go there. Instead I will say the guy sure looks to me like a 3rd line player and that is great. So a young, speedy, good sized player with some skill for the bottom 6. If he can do better and put up 50 plus points that's fantastic.

Just want to give a huge congrats to Emil. His game make him really difficult to be out of the line up. He can play on a 4th line because he play a physical and gritty game but he can play a middle 6 role because he have the skills to complete those kind of player.
Its rare that a talented player is able to play everywhere in a lineup without being non efficient. Everywhere he play he can be impactfull. He is like a swiss knife like Lekhonen but with a bigger frame.
He is the biggest surprise so far this year because I did'nt have any expectation for him at the beggining of the season. Now he is a player that MSL have to play because he as versatility.

He's on pace for 20 goals with this kind of usage.. maybe it's time to try him on the top line for a few games and possibly boost his confidence even more.
Yes he deserve it! But what im saying is that even when he play bottom 6 roles he find a way to make an impact.
Joshua Roy for example cannot play bottom 6 roles because if he's not efficient in the offensive zone he is harmful for the team.
But yes please do a Heineman-Suzuki-Caufield line because he deserve to be there
I'm down for this. High energy player with offensive upside. I see a similar style to Gally in him. Beauty player to have.
Its exactly why MSL cannot scratch him of the lineup. He manage to be efficient no matters where he play and for a coach those kind of players are gold lol.
But I hope that we give this guy a real chance to express his offensive instinct. I dont want to make the same mistake that we make with Lekhonen. He have the potential to be a second line winger if he flourish. The beauty with Emil is that even if he plateau at a 3rd or 4th line players he can be a key piece too.
He is my surprise of this year and I love to see him play every game.

Im not comparing them pound for pound. They are two different player.
What makes them similar his that they can fit everywhere on a lineup and be efficient.
Lekhonen is more a cerebral high IQ player and Heineman is more a power horse skills player. But they seems to be able to find a role in every line they play. Not a lot of players in the NHL as this quality of being a swiss knife.
He still has issues with the speed sometimes, I wouldn't skip steps just because he's producing well on the bottom 6.

His speed looked pretty decent last night as he blew by the defenders and cut to the middle using his body to score a beauty. I'm not saying he's a legit top 6 threat but i'dd like to see him rewarded for a couple games on the top line.
I was talking about issues follow the game speed, not his skating speed.
Lehky with size is very good. Lekkenen can be on 1st line why not him

Anderson who looks brain dead on the ice at times had many chances on the top line.
We talk so much about the acquisitions of Laine, Newhook. Dach, Barron, Matheson that we forget that Heineman was also acquired via trade. Quietly a good piece. I think he can have a good career in the bottom 6

Time will tell.
No matters where he'll plateau he will be useful. That's what make him a good prospect. He'll find a role in this team at the end. The question is will he be a 4th 3th or second liner.
His playstyle fits anywhere. Where he ends up will depend entirely on how he can follow the play.
