A few years ago, I got hit by cars twice in the span of a week. One, I walking down on the sidewalk and this idiot hits me coming out of the dep parking lot. Was on his phone. Knocked me into the street. Corner of Pierrefonds Blvd and Jacques Bizard. A few days later, I'm walking through the parking lot to get to Tim Hortons and this idiot backs out of her parking spot and hits me and didn't even stop! Probably didn't even know she hit me. Blvd Saint Jean where the Walmart is.

I'm 6'3" and people still find ways to hit me. You can't see me?! How!!

I live in the city. I've never been hit by a car in the city. Only in the west island. I don't like the west island.

When I was in my mid 20's, i used to work close to Rockland center and something similar to @overlord happened to me. I was walking up north on l'acadie, north of Rockland. It was summer, at noon and I had just bought lunch at La Belle Province (their grilled chicken burger was something else) and was bringing it back to my workplace. North of Rockland on L'acadie, there's an underpass for a train crossing, so i was walking downhill and then uphill torwards boulevard Sauvé. In the uphill part, about 20-30m from Sauvé, there's a small road into a cul-de-sac on the right where there was a workshop, maybe a mechanic or a carwash, can't remember exactly. I was about to cross that road when some old italian nutsack was driving fast despite the uphill and sideswiped me and my lunch as he turned the corner super fast to go into the cul-de-sac. A second later and my legs would've been meat-potatoes. My lunch got sprawled on the pavement, as I was lurched onto the sidewalk. f***ing douchenozzle tried to put the blame on me. I told the old fart that he was behind me so i only saw him turn at the last second, and anyway, buddy, pedestrians have right of way. Who the f*** turns on a dime at 40-50kmh to go into a small cul-de-sac?? Didn't you see me? He told me "you were supposed to stop". No i wasn't. It was a greenlight on a small street that people rarely ever drive into.

I moved away from the island a few years later. Best move i ever made.

This corner, although it seems it's not a cul-de-sac anymore, but I'm pretty sure it was 20 years ago. There wasn't a building on the south corner either, just an empty lot iirc:

Ideally Newhook moves to the bottom six, as the someone else brought in is a top 6 forward. So would Newhook be a better bottom six C than Dvo? I'd have to see. If Newhook isn't, then he's just not a bottom 6 C and is only a bottom 6 winger. Because Dvo isn't exactly a great bottom 6 C.

To me Newhook is in the mould of Andrew Shaw in terms of usage not style.

Can fill in at C or on your 2nd line but ideally should be 3rd liner winger utility man used to fill in when injuries occur. Should be good for 15 goals, 40 points a year. If he can become a solid PKer I'd be very happy.

Ok, but he's on pace for 26 points over 82 games this year playing entirely in the top 6.

So, to me he hasn't proven that he can get 40 points playing on a 3rd line. But I'd like it if he could do that.

This would be the first year of his producers career he doesn't get 30+ points and just turned 24. Assuming he gets 5-10 points more a year as he is just entering his prime isn't a crazy assumption. Given how bad his start was assuming he gets 30-35 this year is reasonable.

A less physical Andrew Shaw who can't play on the PK and has bottom-shelf scoring/60 and scoring/game stats because, unlike Andrew Shaw, he plays top6 minutes.

"Should be good for 40 points a year" well he's on pace for 26.

This is scrub performance and production we're talking about. 26 points in 82 games, playing exclusively top6 and no PK time...
