Has anyone experienced a player jump from elite potential to franchise in their NHL 20 franchise mode? Just wondering, because that never happened to me: Just Top 6s to Elites.

I've seen Pettersson jump up to franchise in multiple files (but not every file). Seen it happen with one other player too but can't remember who. It is rare it seems, but not impossible.

I once had Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (Sabres goalie prospect) jump from elite medium to franchise low

In a current Habs gm I had Lafreniere jump to med franchise from high elite

I've had Mathew's go from elite to franchise. I've also had a Medium Elite goalie I drafted in the 2nd round in 2021 go from med elite to low franchise, but then changed back the following year.

I’m in the year 2033-2034, mainly game generated players now fill my team. Drafted a W 5th overall, had med elite potential as a grinder, switched him to a PWF and he went to Low Franchise after a year and I signed him to an 8yr 2.5m per year deal lmao. Also traded for another guy who was High Elite and he changed to low Franchise as well

Is low Franchise any better than High Elite? It seems like I have more success with High Top 6 forwards than I do Low Elite forwards. Wondering if that logic applies to the Elite to Franchise jump.

The higher the tier is, the higher of likelihood of their increase in overall.

Lafreniere jumped to medium franchise on my first one. At least before any updates he was just high elite not sure if he's still that
